We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about lotsa shows including Grey’s Anatomy, TWD: The Ones Who Live, All American and Bob Hearts Abishola!
1 | So, Mr. Plankton starring Grey’s Anatomy’s Alex Landi isn’t a SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff…?
2 | Does SmackDown‘s newest recruit Jade Cargill know how to make an entrance or what?
3 | If Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s Larry was hooking up with Kendra during the “Seinfeld days,” wouldn’t that mean that Larry cheated on Cheryl?
4 | Is it really believable that The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live‘s CRM — with all of its choppers flying around when Jadis was delivering them As and Bs from the Heaps — would never have spotted Alexandria? Should Michonne have been quieter when ransacking Jadis’ office? Wouldn’t Beame have a detail posted outside his door? How was everyone but Rick, Michonne and Thorne killed in that massive explosion? How did Rick survive setting off a grenade right in front of his face? Why didn’t anyone but the couple’s kids come to welcome #Richonne home? And why did Rick leave behind his nifty prosthetic hand?
5 | All American’s baby AJ is several months old, and we’re expected to believe that parents Asher and Jaymee have never experienced a poop blowout before?
6 | On The Neighborhood, would Tina, who was hired as a part-time, after-school music teacher, be leading Walcott Academy’s teachers walkout?
7 | We know Bob Hearts Abishola in its final season no longer has every cast member available on a weekly basis, but are we to assume MaxDot cofounder Dottie was no longer a shareholder? Surely she would’ve had a vote on whether or not to sell the company… right? Or at least been mentioned in conversations about selling the company?
8 | As NCIS B-stories go, was (off-screen) Delilah’s online poll about Tim’s goatee pretty paper-thin/silly/ultimately uneventful?
9 | On NCIS: Hawai’i, shouldn’t/wouldn’t they have slipped a GPS tracker into the go bag Talia delivered to “Spence”?
10 | For those who watch both The Voice and American Idol, how weird/cool is it to see the former’s Hailey Mia and Mia Matthews on the current Idol season?
11 | On WWE Raw, did anyone catch that security guard yanking a young fan back to his seat during Seth Rollins’ promo in the crowd?
12 | Watching Shōgun, were you hoping tea house owner Gin was right and Toranaga had anticipated the double-cross? (Or does he have a countermeasure up his sleeve?) And if you read the book, how stunned were you by the death at the close of this week’s episode?
13 | During The Cleaning Lady’s Amber Alert saga, could that cop have possibly been less thorough while searching Dante’s car for Luca? He didn’t even check the trunk!
14 | Were you relieved to see that Lopez vs. Lopez Season 2 did away with the veterinarian’s office — easily one of the weakest aspects of Season 1?
15 | Wouldn’t The Rookie’s John and Bailey have scooped up all the toys they had bought Anna, to give to the uncle who will probably need toys now as well?
16 | Was Tuesday’s Good Doctor death truly shocking, or had you figured out that Asher wasn’t long for this world by the time Rabbi Benjamin encouraged him to “go get engaged,” and neither of them thought it was a bad idea to have Asher walk back to his car alone, mere seconds after the violent vandals who desecrated the synagogue walked away? And if witnessing the attack wasn’t brutal enough, did they really have to go and show the police drive by the restaurant where Jerome was seated and ready to propose?
17 | Doesn’t it just feel wrong that American Horror Story episodes are airing in April?
18 | Wasn’t it a bit lame of CBS to spoil the resolution to this week’s Young Sheldon cliffhanger — an episode that culminated in Georgie and Mandy’s decision not to invite their parents to their wedding — in a promo that ran not 30 seconds later? And are our eyes deceiving us, or is Sheldon not present for his own brother’s wedding? ▼
19 | On 9-1-1, wasn’t there some way to spare the face-blind woman the pain of knowing she unwittingly shot her own son? Like, lie that he had died in a car crash or something?
20 | Seriously? Grey’s Anatomy brought Arizona back after six years and didn’t have her give any update whatsoever about the status of her relationship with Callie? And not even a mention of Sofia?!?
21 | How many Station 19 fans needed a session with Diane after Thursday’s singularly harrowing episode? How freaking awesome was Vic’s blistering take-down of Chaos Kate? And best guesses as to what was up with Hughes? ▼
22 | Star Trek: Discovery’s Season 5 premiere has us wondering who do we love more, Killy Tilly or Tipsy Tilly?

# 19 Why would they lie. The story would have come to her sometime or another. Then she would be upset about that and the lie.
The son should have identified himself. I would never just walk into my elderly mother’s house without calling out.
I’ve always assumed Larry David (the character) only met Cheryl after Seinfeld ended.
Cheryl does mention in season 7 that Larry was better when he had stuff to do, like working on Seinfeld. That’s what makes him want to do the reunion. So maybe they were only married during part of Seinfeld, or were just dating.
18. I don’t see the promos at the end of the episode where it airs in my area so this is a little spoiler for me. But nice to see.
19. Yes, but she’d learn the truth eventually. But so many more questions: I would think there were so many other ways to cross over with the Bachelor with all the hijinks’ that happen in the show. Superglue? And how did jack hammering the driveway not jolt her body enough to rip her skin more.
Another legit question: Was Tommy already Gay or Bi? Or was this an awakening for him too? I don’t know.
21) This was – imo – the best episode of the season so far.
It showed that with the right writing & direction an ensemble, as big as in this show, the characters can shine on their own, as well as together, without leaving fans hanging or wishing for more.
There were quiet a few scenes, that had me “Woah!”.
One of them actually was the one with Vic and Kate in the bathroom. Let’s face it, Kate had it coming and Vic seems to be on the brink of a mental breakdown, which actually isn’t surprising, considering all the (probably unprocessed) trauma of her past. My guess is, that there will be a breakdown, which once again no one sees coming (it happened to Maya last season), and leads to her ultimately leaving SFD & concentrating on her psychology studies.
That said I’m sooooo happy, that we finally got (domestic) Marina scenes. Ones with actual talking. Loved it.
And at the same time I’m afraid they’ll go back to their dialogue-less montages in the future, and that Maya’s fear of dying on the job could have been some dark foreshadowing. (Even though I hope I’m wrong!)
16) I think his death was unnecessarily cruel. Look I know awful attacks like this happen in real life and it’s disgusting and just pure evil. But sometimes we (or maybe just me) just want to escape reality for a minute while watching a show. I so wished for a happy ending for Asher especially as this is the final season.
Re: Young Sheldon: how is getting back and forth from school? He’s supposed to be staying at his dorm but he keeps surprising his family by showing up. I assume the roommate drove him to pick up the computer but probably not when he came back later when he was mad at the roommate.
#7 I thought Dottie has retired in an earlier episode this season when Bob was struggling with the budget, and freed up her salary. But i agree, she still should have been consulted. Was she in the promos for the next episode where they were having drinks to celebrate the sale?
16- I knew that a major character was dying going into the episode and as soon as I saw the recap at the beginning, I guessed it was Asher. He was also heavily featured in the episode so that was a giveaway. I didn’t care for the character that much, especially the way he treated his partner. Too much whining.
Well they killed dr. Melendez although we found out why they killed him as it’s because he would be down under literally as he was one of the main cast for la brea although I think the writers keep doing Nico Gonzalez wrong in killing him as he’s probably one of the better suppporting actors in a show yet the two I’ve watched him in his character was killed
7. Up to this, I thought the Bob Hearts Abishola writers were handling the limited use of the characters pretty skillfully. Dottie should at least have been mentioned in passing in this storyline.
18. Yes, really dumb that the promo spoiled who exactly would be present for the wedding. Is it in set-up for the Georgie/Mandy spinoff that Sheldon has been sort of separated from the rest of the family this season? It would be conceivably in character for him to skip the wedding. And he won’t be around for the spinoff? (He would be in California in grad school?) And yep, the logistics of how he’s getting back and forth from college are unexplained.
I’m so glad you mentioned that death at the end of Shogun. I read the book, and saw the original mini-series twice, and my jaw dropped when I saw that ending. I questioned my memory, so I’m glad I’m not the only one who was surprised by that.
Why do people want Calzona back together? They were horrible to each other.
Ships will be ships. No point arguing with them
19. As people have already pointed out, she would have found out eventually. The bigger question to me is how did she shoot her son?? She couldn’t even squeeze Chim’s hand. You’re telling me she was able to aim a single shot at the center of her son’s chest from across the room and pull the trigger? In what world?
On 9-1-1, why did Bobby and Athena switch sides of the bed?
18. Re Sheldon not attending his brother’s wedding: Sheldon barely seems a part of the show now, as they get ready for the Georgie-Mandy spinoff. When he awkwardly came home to work on his computer (for no apparent reason), it was like the wacky neighbor dropping by.
Yep. He’s now the annoying neighbor kid who drops by uninvited. Soon he’ll be ‘accidentally’ destroying parts of the house with his wacky genius inventions, saying “Did I do that?”
He’s still part of the family.
A question of my own: On Will Trent, why did Amanda plant precisely 28 grams on the bad guy? Since that’s the threshold, wasn’t that too obvious as a plant. Why not 31 or more?
That occurred to me too.
22- Tipsy Tilly all the way. Mary Wiseman’s performance there was outstanding
#4 – All excellent points I noticed as well, my TWD podcast mentioned them as well. Expected so much more from this series with the return of two iconic characters. TWD writing is spotty at best without Angela Kang around. She worked on Daryl Dixon, but not this one. Sad…
15-Rookie – they said the uncle was going directly to the airport to fly back home to Florida with the baby, he couldn’t take the toys anyway
21-Station 19 – seems to be going in the opposite direction of SWAT, and giving everybody a crappy ending. Has anyone checked in on Jack in the past two eps? Upended his entire life then nothing? (SWAT told us Luka would have a “satisfying” ending, so I’m guessing they are not killing him off this week)
Survivor – I still want to know why the Tribal Councils look so weird this season? The players look too polished to be dragged right from camp. Looks like they filmed in post.
19 9-1-1
Anyone else notice the commercial for a cruise line on 9-1-1 (after 3 episodes of a disastrous cruise)?
4. TWD: The Ones Who Live
The writing left a lot of questions.
It was a confusing mess.
I still don’t understand the CRM and the larger group.
I need Talking Dead and Yvette Nicole Brown to make sense of it for me.
20. Would it have been so hard for Bailey, at the end, to tell Arizona to say Hi to Callie and Sofia? Or just have Arizona wear their famous heart necklace and the fans would understand their status. To give viewers nothing after all these years, just to bring her back for a surgery none of the interns cared about? Where was the joy they were advertising?
I have a question about the Masked Singer.
What’s the difference between Battle Royale and Smackdown?
