It all comes down to this. Cobra Kai‘s biggest fight yet is just around the corner and we finally have a release schedule for the series’ final 15 (!) episodes.
Season 6 will be a supersized season featuring five bonus episodes, but that’s not all! The dojos’ ultimate showdown will be split into three parts: Part 1 will release on Netflix Thursday, July 18; Part 2 will follow on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28; and the “finale event” will drop some time next year.
“Picking up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai — the world championships of karate,” reads the official description.
Netflix also released a teaser video (embedded above) and first photos (below) Thursday, showing just how hard the dojos are training to win “the soul of the valley.” While there’s no glimpse of Thomas Ian Griffith’s Terry Silver (yet), the clip does feature other baddies John Kreese (Martin Kove) and Kim Da-eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) making it crystal clear that the competition and the stakes have never been higher.

2 part season were bad enough, now they upping it to 3, that’s just crazy.
Exactly what I came to say. It’s so dumb.
Love that Netflix is giving out some larger episode orders! It seemed like everything was shrinking down to 6-8 episodes, which is good for some things, but for a comedy I’m glad to see more episodes. When I want to revisit the series, there is actually a decent amount of episodes to rewatch.
I wouldn’t get so happy. They just shrank this down to 3 short seasons mostly and by having it all count as one season they can avoid contract negotiations and get more without paying people more. So sure they all get paid a handful of more episodes but no raises. Same reason the Walking Dead wouldn’t call the last season 12 but part of 11. I don’t find 4 or 5 episode seasons to be thrilling as it’s such a short time to tell stories and you go through the content quickly. They need to get back to more episodes and seasons on hits
Can we not, I get they are probalby trying to stretch it out to connect with the up-coming movie in some way, but 3 part final season is crazy. Some of theses “kids” aren’t even kids anymore and pushing 30. Just leave it in 2 parts, or better yet, drop it all at once. This is worse than splitting a final movie into two.
Who cares how old they really are? ALL of them can pass for teens easily.
I’m thrilled about 15, longer episodes, but not happy about 3 parts. Two parts I could live with.
It’s to get you to subscribe at least 3 times instead of once and cancel, their best hope is each time you forget to cancel before the automatic renewal.
At this point, just say it was renewed for an extra season. This feels like nothing more than a money grab to make sure people keep their subscriptions longer.
Part of the appeal was binge watching, and that is fleeting every day
This isn’t the end. Another movie is in the works with Ralph Macchio & Jackie Chan. Hopefully, we’ll get to see cast members from “Cobra Kai” reprise their roles in the movie as well.
Three parts????
Really, I might not even be alive for part 3!
