Interview With the Vampire fans were still on a high after Lestat’s jaw-dropping return at the end of Episode 6, and actor Sam Reid made sure they stayed there with his captivating, unflinching performance at Louis & Co.’s trial in Episode 7. We weren’t quite sure what to expect after he opened with a joke (“I prefer the old place”), but it’s just as well, because we were wholly unprepared for how deeply affected we would be by his work in this breathtaking hour of television. The despair in Lestat’s eyes as he recalled the pain he inflicted upon Louis, and the vulnerability he displayed as he revealed his truth, were impossible not to feel. The entire proceeding may have been a miscarriage of justice, especially for poor Claudia, but we the jury find Reid guilty of devastating us with an unforgettable performance. — Andy Swift
Great choices, but I was hoping to see an honorable mention for Rhys Ifans, who had his best scene so far in House of the Dragon.
I’m I wish I liked House of the a dragon more than I do. I’m just bored with it so far.
I feel like the only reason there’s no HOTD cast mention thus far is that there’s more powerful performances coming later in the season. otherwise, it makes zero sense there’s no mention at all.
I think Delainey Hayles also deserved a mention, but the Sam Reid nod is nice, too.

I know you don’t usually do Daytime actors with this, but I was still hoping to see Jophielle Love and Michael Easton from General Hospital this week. Such well acted scenes with Finn’s goodbye to his daughter! She had me in tears.

Wholeheartedly agree. Jophielle and Michael knocked it out of the park, I really hope the goodbye scenes are submitted for next year’s Daytime Emmys, for supporting actress (Jophielle), since the Emmys pulled the younger actor Daytime Emmy category and lead actor (Michael).
I was wrecked over their scenes. Some fans have complained that this whole storyline was too rushed, but Michael Easton has done some of his best work over the last three weeks.
Delainey Haylea deserved to be here too. The overall cast was so good in this past episode, but Delainey impressed me most given how much came from sitting in a chair.

I’ve never seen Simon Pegg be so heartbreaking. Hopefully he is remembered next year in the guest actor category of the Emmys. Jack Quaid also delivered so glad to see him recognized also.
I’m so glad Sam Reid has an honorable mention – he was incredible! But hello? Where is Delainey Hayles? She carried this episode. And absolutely zero offence to Bailey Bass, but Delainey WAS Claudia. She took us with her on her journey to find somone who would love her just for her… how does it feel when the people you love always choose someone else over you? It hurts your heart and Delainey delivered this, especially when she realised that finally, Madeleine chose her above everything else. Delainey deserves all the accolades here!
Martin Short gave us some much needed laughs this week filling in for Jimmy Kimmel… as himself and as Jiminy Glick. I was hoping he’d make the list.
Sam, Delainey and Jacob was so perfect in ep7. But I’m sure everything knows it already.
Was hoping to see one or both of the Grantchester stars mentioned this week.
Jack & Simon broke my heart this week. Anyone who has dealt with the loss of a parent can relate. It was heart-wrenching. BOTH actors were SUPERB.
