MJ Is Still (Very) Salty

It only took a few minutes for MJ to express her bitterness for how everything went down at the fire of trust. After calling out CT and Trishelle’s “manipulation,” Cohen asked the Shahs of Sunset star how she felt watching it all back. “Bamboozled, like grifter energy.” Her continuous interjections of shade throughout the hour caused Trishelle to blurt out, “Why are you still so mad at me MJ?” MJ replied that she wasn’t coming for Trishelle, but that CT was a “chump.” But the drama turned out to be far more serious than we ever could’ve imagined: MJ blocked both Trishelle and CT on Instagram (gasp!).
Then, Cohen asked her the question we’ve all been wondering: Why didn’t MJ switch her vote to CT in the final round, since she knew Trishelle was gunning for him? “Because it wasn’t about the money, it was about loyalty,” she said. “I didn’t feel a connection with [CT], but I had the loyalty because I knew you were a faithful. I don’t regret my choices, I regret their choices for vilifying themselves… The traitors were eliminated and the greedy people decided to make it a different game.”
MJ came off really poorly – she seems to think Trishelle played her at the end, Trishelle was really doubting CT for a bit but he was able to convince her before the revote. I think if they were allowed to take back that vote and split it 3 ways she (Trishelle) would have been okay with it but they *had* to vote again. It wasn’t done just to be greedy. Also, MJ voted wrong quite a bit of the time, so I don’t know why she claimed to be such a great player – she was the deciding vote in the Peter/Phaedra vote that sent Peter home.
Her votes probably annoyed me more then any other player. She was wrong so often
MJ did next to nothing in this game and was easily duped over and over.. CT and Trishelle earned most of the money in the pot, and I was actually hoping they would vote her out because she didn’t earn the win.
Actually they didn’t *have* to vote again. After Kate was banished and they voted again, all 3 could have voted to end the game and the 3 of them would have split the money. Because CT and Trishelle voted to banish again, that’s why MJ was eliminated. I personally don’t think CT and Trishelle wanted to share the money with MJ and that was their right to choose per game rules.
If that’s all it was, then they would have both voted MJ out when it was just the 3 of them. I honestly think CT believed there was a chance she was a traitor, just like Trishelle thought CT might have been.
But what OP meant by they *HAD* to vote again was after the 3 way tie. There was no option for Trishelle to say, “You know what, I don’t think that MJ or CT are Traitors, can we just split it 3 ways now?”
Besides, I can understand why CT would think it’s possible that MJ was a traitor. There was no reason to know that Kate was the last one standing, just that at the final 4 there was at LEAST one traitor left. MJ was one that was pushing for Sandra to be voted out instead of Kate. She voted Peter out instead of Phaedra, when Phaedra was a traitor. There was every reason from their perspective to be wary that she could be, even if she WAS convinced that they weren’t.
Great season
I disagree with peppermint. Although I can argue with how she feels, the evidence points otherwise. That early in the game her accidentally learning herself as a traitor gave them an easy option to vote out. It has nothing to do with her being Trans. Unless production didn’t show everything. She seemed super nice overall and would have been fun to have for a few eps longer
Honestly, I don’t think I could play this game because I don’t like being accused of something that I’m not, and I don’t think my heart could handle accusing people of being traitors when they aren’t. And I get that 18 people – traitors and faithfuls – have to eliminated for the game to end, but I probably would’ve been out the door with Deontay. That being said, Trishelle’s initial reason for targeting Peppermint was paper-thin, and I can understand being triggered by that when you know you’re not. It was a silly, forgettable joke over fashion, and unfortunately Peppermint wasn’t able to defend herself well because it was ridiculous. But at that time, you’re also looking for any little, ridiculous thing that might indicatesomeone’sa traitor. I don’t think she was saying that she thought she was eliminated because she was Transgender. I believe she was saying she hoped to stay on the show longer to show people how normal and regular Transgender people are.
Traitors US needs to cast “regular” people a la Traitors UK and Traitors Australia and cut-out all the buddy-buddy Bravo crap.
