WHAT IS WILL TRENT ABOUT?
Based on Karin Slaughter’s best-selling novels and led by TVLine Performer of the Year finalist Ramón Rodríguez, the crime drama centers on Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Having been “abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system,” Will now uses his “unique point of view in the pursuit of justice and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI,” according to the official logline. (TVLine readers gave Season 1 a rare average grade of “A+.”)
Can’t wait!!! That first season was a pleasant mid-season surprise that got better with each episode.
Will Trent is my new favorite series. And Betty steals the show. She’s so cute 🥰

When I watched the first episode, I was interested by the opening scene but still on the fence about watching the series. Then Will tried to surrender Betty to the animal shelter and I was hooked. I simply can’t wait for February 20!
Will Trent is a great show. I’m rooting for Ramon Rodriguez at the Critics Choice Awards since he is nominated for best actor.
I’ll have to rewatch the season finale, I don’t even remember what happened lol
I hope they rebroadcast the last couple of episodes.
They have been, on Tuesday nights. Season 1 finale re-airs Feb. 6 at 9/8c. –Mgmt.

Betty is the reason I tuned into Will Trent in the first place but I quickly fell in love with the rest of the cast and now this is the show I most want to see for the new season! Love this show!
What about the young person who takes care of Betty? Will they be back on at least a recurring basis? I like them (even though I can’t actually remember the character’s name).

Love this show, great cast, great dialogue!!! Only negative, Will has better chemistry with Betty than Angie, break them up, but keep her because she’s an interesting character!!!

Nothing against the actress portraying Angie, but I absolutely H A T E D Angie while reading the books.
Not only Angie, Lena too.
Lena was a *monster*. Good lord I HATED her.
Will Trent is one of the best shows on tv. At first I didn’t think the actress from Parenthood could pull off a cop roll, but she does really well. After Trent, my favorite character is of course Betty. Very few lines, but she contributes immensely.

I love Will Trent and Ramon Rodriquez. He is wonderful. It’s a great lineup with Will, the Rookie and the Good Doctor.

As much as I like the idea of Cricket, I had hoped Dr. Linton would appear as a love interest for Will. When I read about the series before it aired, it was suggested that Sara Linton would be in a season two if the series made it that far. I love the series, loved the Karin Slaughter books too.
This was definitely a mid-season surprise that got better with each episode. It was so good that I will eventually get read the books in between seasons. I can’t wait for S2
Why does Will have to have another love interest?
His cases are challenging enough without having to add a distraction to his life.
For a show who’s main character is a man, there are a ton of amazing strong female characters. Love it. Welcome Susan Kelechi Watson!!
