Black Mirror will be back for more mind-tripping adventures.
Charlie Brooker’s science-fiction anthology has been renewed for Season 7, Variety reports.
Netflix has declined comment and no further details are known about the renewal.
The pick-up comes five months after the release of Season 6, which dropped on June 15. The series’ most recent cycle was comprised of five episodes: “Joan Is Awful” starring Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) and Salma Hayek; “Loch Henry” starring Myha’la (Industry) and Samuel Blenkin (Peaky Blinders); “Beyond the Sea” starring Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Josh Hartnett (Penny Dreadful); “Mazey Day” starring Zazie Beetz (Atlanta); and “Demon 79” starring Anjana Vasan (Killing Eve) and Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You) — a standout installment that earned the duo Performer of the Week accolades.

If Black Mirror‘s previous hiatuses are any indication, fans may be waiting a while for Season 7. On average, there has been a two- to four-year gap between new episodes. The shortest wait came between Seasons 3 and 4, which aired 14 months apart.

Great news, I’ve watched the first 4 of season 6 and whilst the quality varies I thought overall they were great, bit darker than I expected but that’s ok :)
Surprising after the last season turned out to be so lackluster.
Wow. A streamer actually renewing a show. Surprising for Netflix, since their average years-per-series has dropped to three.
