Casey Wilson is not mincing words when it comes to her former co-star Tim Allen.
In the latest episode of her Bitch Sesh podcast, the Happy Endings alum refers to her time acting opposite Allen as the “single worst experience” she’s ever had with another actor.
“Tim Allen was such a bitch,” she exclaims, recalling her guest stint on Disney+’s The Santa Clauses (per Variety). “It was the truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a co-star ever.”
Wilson appeared in the sequel series’ 2022 premiere as Sara, the little girl who left the allegedly lactose intolerant Claus soy milk in 1994’s The Santa Clause. (Allen previously discussed the scene with TVLine here.)
“So, I’m in a scene. It’s just me and Tim Allen, and I’m supposed to throw things at him,” Wilson recalls. “He’s coming down the chimney, obviously as Santa, and I am woken up thinking there’s an intruder, basically like a home invasion scene. So, I’m throwing things at him. [He] goes over to the producer who is standing four feet from me and goes, and I hear him, he goes, ‘You gotta tell her to stop stepping on my lines.’ The producer turns to me with horror on his face and has to walk one foot to me and he goes, ‘Um, Tim would ask that you stop stepping on his lines.’
“When he was done [filming] he was so f—king rude,” she continues. “Never made eye contact, never said anything. It was so uncomfortable…. It’s the end, and Tim Allen goes, ‘leaving,’ takes his Santa cape, picks it up and drops it on the floor and walks out.
“He’s a bitch,” Wilson declares for a second time. “And this is the best… I will not say who said this. This was someone that I do not know, perhaps in the crew. [He or she] breezes past me and just goes, ‘You’re seeing him on a good day.'” (TVLine has reached out to Allen’s rep for comment.)
The Santa Clauses wrapped its second season on Wednesday. It has not yet been renewed for Season 3.
What an absolute shock! There’s been no evidence that he’s a little bitch ever!
I’ve worked with him. He’s horrible. Tim Allen is the funniest person Tim Allen has ever worked with.
I was going to say: we knew this, didn’t we?
It was sarcasm, people! Good grief.
Waaahhh! Tim Allen was mean and didn’t talk to me! Waaahhh!
Wow. Way to not read the room. You see clear evidence of Tim being a prick and you decide to shame the victim of his diva behavior. Real classy.
Pro tip: an accusation is not evidence.
Evidence is more like when a whole lot of people have said similar things. Oh, wait…
I’ll add my experience… never again. No way, not a kind word.
Someone saying something happened.. is, in fact, evidence.
Pro tip: yes, conveying things verbally *is*evidence.
When under oath, in a court, for example, it’s called testimony.
Of course this isn’t a court, yet the premise remains.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
;)
The cult support Allen.
That’s MAGA conservatives for you.
yeah stick up for the dick head, if it were someone being mean to him you’d sure believe them LMAO
We all know Tim is a Diva, but we also know that Casey is one too.
Exactly. There’ s a reason Casey can’t get long term gigs anymore. One or two episodes of her attitude is all most people (and shows) can tolerate.
lol You think we can’t tell you’re both doing the classic attempt at ‘difficult woman’ buzz to retaliate against an actress that speaks up? (I use the term “speaks up” but Variety quoted her Patreon-only episode which is kinda low. It wasn’t an interview. You’re supposed to take the gossip and keep it to yourself). As for your pathetic zinger: Most actors don’t have long term gigs most of them time. I’d say an 8 episode run as a main character is long term these days btw so even that was wrong. She’s been working in the business for over 20 years, continues to do so, and no, most certainly does not have a reputation for being difficult. Tim Allen on the other hand has a reputation for being an absolutely awful person. Crew have talked about him being mean to the kids in at least one of the Santa Clause movies. I assume he was hardly kind to the others. He wasn’t liked by the cast of Galaxy Quest. He treated Pamela Anderson like garbage. You don’t have to lie for him. No one’s gonna buy it anymore.
Yeah. It’s either all that or Casey is hard to work with, too.
But, who’s number one on the call sheet and has the unwritten responsibility of being professional to the cast and crew members that you work with? I would think that would be the show’s lead.
You’d think… and you’d be wrong if you referring with the wildly insane Allen.
I hope that things get better for your Jens.
Well, given how he chose to relay his instructions to the producer that was standing four feet away offstage – and within earshot – one would think he’d be more professional than that, rather than being the entitled star he thinks he is. Do better, Tim!
Yes, Tim does need to do better (he probably won’t change though, he’s old), but he IS the star of the show.
That’s it exactly. A professional would talk to Casey himself, or at least, would ask, “It feels like she’s stepping on my lines a little bit. Is it playing OK?”
Exactly!!!
Uh huh, sure Jan.
Not surprising at all.
No surprise there. He’s always been awful to “the little people” on a set.
And the purpose of bringing this up now is ???????
To call out bad behavior? To warn others they might be working with a … jerk? (Trying to be kind here) To let bullies know their time is over and we’re not afraid of them any more? I can think of so many….
Her guest on the podcast asked her directly about it. That’s why I hate when stuff like this gets reported. It’s completely different when you haven’t listened to it.
To poop on the movie?
I agree with Annie’s ‘to call out bad behavior’ etc reasons, but even if you don’t want to go with any of them, since when does everything have to have a ‘purpose’? Because she feels like it is fine. Last time I checked, we didn’t have to analyze everything we said with questions like ‘is this important to discuss right now?’ You right now: “Can you believe she brought up the weather? I mean I know whether we’re having nice weather. What was even the point of that? We’ve both been outside recently. I mean, ‘nice weather we’re having’? What?”
Why do I not seem surprised that Tim Allen would do something like that on the set?
Waaahh Waaahh, “I’m Casey and Santa isn’t talking to me on the set for my 1 min scene that I messed up”. Also Tim probably didn’t even remember your name, that’s why he didn’t acknowledge you, LOL.
Chill the f down, Tim. At least try to pretend those are not bots.
Yes, Tim should have handled the situation better, but old men don’t change. He’s been a leading actor for too long (BIIIG HEAD). Hangin Around with his buddy Don for too Long. Casey also doesn’t seem like the easiest person to work with either, from what we heard from her other regular roles.
You haven’t “heard” s—. Fake drama to try to retaliate against Casey Wilson. Fortunately people see past that stuff more and more.
Not in the least bit surprised that he’s like that. Most Trumpers are.
Came here to say exactly this!
Glad I’m not alone.
And you do know that just like Kelsey grammar Tim Allen has been registered as a Republican his entire life
What’s this guy’s damage? This man has been part of multiple profitable franchises and he never needs to work again. (Assuming he hasn’t lost all his money.) Why not find something that makes him happy?
Im so mad at y’all. This podcast is amazing because of what they’re willing to discuss and they specifically have a “no tagging” rule. Who snitched!? You’ve ruined us for future good stories. And it’s behind a paywall for God’s sake.
Maybe that explains the many recastings in The Last Man Standing.
The show didn’t have that many recastings. The daughter that didn’t return was already in another show and couldn’t return
One of the daughters husband was played by a Jonas then recast bro.two of the daughters were cast I think
None of those had anything to do with Tim being a jerk though, and not all are even accurate…
Nick Jonas was recast because he had come as a guest star and when they decided to make the role of the kids father a recurring/regular role Jonas couldn’t commit to the larger role so they recast with someone that could commit long-term.
The daughter (Mandy) was recast because the show had been cancelled and then saved and by the time the show was coming back the actress had another role and couldn’t come back.
The other daughter (Eve) wasn’t recast, the actress had other commitments too but came back when she could on a recurring basis.
The show decided to “refresh” the show when it returned by adding a new character that wasn’t a daughter but a foreign-exchange student they were housing, it’s a typical move for an older show to do to keep it “interesting”
I agree with everything you said Alexis but also want to add the likely recast they were talking about was Kristen(the oldest daughter on the show) who was recast after season 1 but again that had nothing to do with Tim Allen.
Yeah on that it was because the whole cast hated her not just Tim and also the same with chuck’s wife as well they had to recast chuck’s wife because after the show was cancelled she signed onto another show and 20th century reached out to a familiar person and although the show was under Warner brothers again it was an actress most were familiar with in Tisha Campbell for her being Martin lawrence’s wife on Martin
Plus also the first daughter recast it wasn’t just Tim that didn’t get along with her it was the entire cast who hated the the first Kristin as when they would have have get together after episodes wrapped she was no where to be seen as the entire cast hated her and they got someone much more likeable in Kirstin fuller as no offense to the first Kirstin but she was was kind of bad and also on Ryan Vogelsong he was originally played I believe by Joe Jonas I believe in one episode in season 1 but when they decided to make his role more active after season 2 they recast him as well as they wanted a more seasoned actor
This is not the first time I’ve read how horrible he is. Maybe he is still carrying around anger from his prison days.
Shocking . Please he has always had big ego. Remember he had too be paid more then Seinfeld. Also he gave 21 names so he would get light sentence, Sure Now that He is conservative against those Plea deals.
In his defense, it probably sucks to go work for Disney every day
i can not stomach fake axx TIM ALLEN. never could. not the first story I’ve heard of his rudeness. CREEP 100%
Pathetic. Some still believe an accusation is the truth.
And some people believe that when many, many, many people tell the same story, its probably true.
Nah… they believe the truth… she’s about the thousandth person to recognize that Allen is trash.
You know how everyone always talks about how great Tom Hanks is on set? Or Dolly Parton?
.
You know how no one ever talks about how great Tim Allen is?
.
Yeah.
To the people who love this movie series good for you. But I absolutely hate them. Worst Christmas movies ever IMO. Actually didn’t know until this moment that a TV series even existed.
So Tim was being a Dick like his real last name?
No way that would ever happen.
Sorry not sorry.
😂😂😂
He’s so full of himself that I wouldn’t put these actions past him.
He’s rude and nasty. She’s not the only one who has complained about him.
He’s a Trumper…. and it shows. Badly. I’m sure he’s far worse than is even said here. I dropped him completely a while back… will never watch him again.
I’ve worked with Casey on an SNL sketch, she seemed very professional to me. But an actor shouldn’t direct another actor, as childish as it may seem, the right move is to alert the AD or director to the issue and let them either carry the message over or augment it, or just ignore it completely. Sounds like that is what Allen did. If the guy wanted to get out of there so bad he wouldn’t be asking for more takes. Casey called Tim Allen a disgusting republican but nobody forced her to work with him. Actors are asked to work under horrendous conditions all the time, but airing her political bias through rather tepid accusations will only make producers less likely to hire Casey again. And then she’ll probably blame this reluctance on somebody else, too.
lol not surprised by this I always forget he’s a convicted cocaine drug trafficker who served over two years in prison…oh and he’s a trumper enough said.
And there it is. He is a Trump supporter. THAT is the real issue. Has nothing to do with cocaine or drugs. If that was the case, you wouldn’t care for Hunter either.
Who cares for Hunter? Literally who??! Who even registers his existence? Not us. Only the people using his shenanigans as a stick to beat people who hate Trump with. So weird.
But, but… What about. What about. pathetic
