Hulu is putting plenty of gas in the Planet Express Ship, renewing Futurama for Seasons 13 and 14 (20 episodes total), TVLine has learned. Season 12, which was part of the revival’s initial order, is set to debut sometime in 2024.
Futurama stars the voices of John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman. It follows the exploits of Phillip J. Fry (West), a pizza delivery guy who accidentally cryogenically freezes himself, defrosting 1,000 years later in a world populated by talking aliens, alcoholic robots… and Zoidberg!
The animated series was created by The Simpsons mastermind Matt Groening, who executive-produces alongside David X. Cohen, Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz.
Futurama premiered in 1999 on Fox, where it aired for four seasons before being canceled in 2003. The franchise returned via several direct-to-DVD movies — Bender’s Big Score (2007), The Beast With a Billion Backs (2008), Bender’s Game (2008) and Into the Wild Green Yonder (2009) — before being formally revived on Comedy Central from 2011 to 2013. It would be another decade before new episodes would air on Hulu.

I just hope they don’t run out of steam like they did by the end of the last revival on Comedy Central. Some of the Hulu episodes were great, some where horrid. The non-canon toy commercial episode was the worst in the show’s history. It would be funny if this is the end and they get canceled again. Fox had four production seasons, then made four movies, Comedy Central had broadcast four seasons, and now Hulu has at least four.

I’ll never understand the fascination with Zoidberg. One of the worst regular characters in the Simpsons universe (including Futurama and Disenchantment here), if you don’t count “Richard Nixon”.
I LITERALLY subscribed to Hulu IN ORDER to watch Season 11. So Excited Futurama Season 12, 13, 14, etc is coming back to Hulu.
