It’s been one hell of a wait for the unholy duo’s return, but Good Omens just announced some great news: All six episodes of Season 2 will hit Prime Video Friday, July 28, the streamer announced Wednesday.
Per its official description, the second season “will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley (David Tennant). Having been on Earth since The Beginning and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”
Also reprising their roles are Jon Hamm as archangel Gabriel, Doon Mackichan as archangel Michael, and Gloria Obianyo as archangel Uriel. Returning in new roles are Miranda Richardson as the demon Shax, Maggie Service as Maggie, and Nina Sosanya as Nina.
New faces joining Season 2 are Liz Carr (Silent Witness) as angel Saraqael, Quelin Sepulveda (The Man Who Fell to Earth) as angel Muriel, and Shelley Conn (Bridgerton) as demon Beelzebub.

The first season of Good Omens was released on Prime Video in May 2019 and was based on the beloved best-selling novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. For Season 2, Gaiman continues as executive producer and co-showrunner along with Douglas Mackinnon, who also directs and executive-produces all six episodes. EP John Finnemore serves as co-writer alongside Gaiman.
As an extra bonus, Gaiman collaborated with The Hillywood Show to reveal the date in a fan-funded parody video that you can watch below.

after more than 4 years we finaly have the new season so we had the time to do 3 olympics games between the two seasons
Finally! YAAAAYYYYYYY!
I cannot wait! Season 1 was perfect! just a feel-good show. Love the cast. July 28 will come quick; I am going to re watch season 1.
I binge watched it last year and loved it. Im lucky to have just watched it considering how long it took for s2. Can’t wait for the new season.
Well, happy birthday to me!
Shelley Conn is replacing Anna Maxwell Martin as Beelzebub? That’s a little disappointing, only because I like Martin.
Agree–nothing personal against Shelley Conn & wish her the best, but really liked Anna Maxwell Martin’s portrayal of Beelzebub & hoped she would return. But,overall,so very looking forward to this!!
When networks and streaming services dribble out half a dozen new episodes every 4 years it gets very difficult to stay interested. I liked the first season, but I’ve long since forgotten most of it and I’m not longer interested enough to watch it again. So, my reaction is this: Big effing whoop.
I don’t know, this might be a bit of a disappointment. The show we got was fantastic, one of my favorites.
My concern is that the story is over now. Wouldn’t it be better just to let the characters live on in our imaginations instead of them trying to squeeze more content? Treat the show we got as a one off miniseries and leave it at that.
There can be too much of a good thing.
