Alison Sweeney is back on the case in the new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, and she’s enlisted a familiar co-star for the latest installment of the film franchise.
The Days of Our Lives vet will reprise role as baker-turned-amateur sleuth Hannah Swensen in the movie, which reunites her with The Wedding Veil trilogy love interest Victor Webster.
“I’ve always loved working with Victor — from our years in daytime to our work together on The Wedding Veil,” Sweeney, who wrote and executive-produced One Bad Apple, said in a statement. “When writing the script and developing this movie, I knew he’d be a great addition to the Hannah Swensen family and am thrilled that he said yes.”
(Read why Cameron Mathison, co-star in eight Hannah Swensen movies, isn’t returning as Mike.)
In One Bad Apple — premiering later this year, and based on the novel Apple Turnover Murder by Joanne Fluke — “Hannah Swensen has been asked to teach a baking class at the college in town, but her equipment is tampered with causing an explosion that the fire department rules an accident,” reads the official synopsis. “Soon, a colleague ends up dead and Hannah begins to put together the puzzle of the mysterious circumstances surrounding the murder. Hannah leans on her friends and family to collect the breadcrumbs of foul play and put them together, and meets a different side of law and order when Lake Eden’s prosecuting attorney Chad Norton (Webster) enters her life.”
Returning cast members include Gabriel Hogan, Barbara Niven, Tess Atkins and Lisa Durupt.

Which of today’s TVLine Items pique your interest?
I guess “Mary & George” won’t be the name of the Young Sheldon spinoff.
So no Cameron Mathison in this? In the last movie, Hannah and Mike got back together.
This was going to be my question as well. Why is Cameron Mathison not mentioned in the returning cast for the new Hannah Swensen movie??
Didn’t he jump ship to the Candice Cameron network? They might need to write him off if that’s the case
Unfortunately he will not be in this movie. Per multiple sites, Victor is the new lead. He is taking over for Cameron who signed a multi-picture deal with Great American Media.
What happened to Mike? Did Hannah and Mike break-up? I thought they were practically engaged. And why didn’t she move on (go back?) to Norman? He was a good guy, and Hannah’s mom liked him.
Lisa Durupt returns and dreary Mathison departs. Two truly great developments for this mystery franchise!
“And based off the novel” Err…..based ON the novel.
This looks like fun!
There are a lot of Mystery Movies they are not making anymore and it is disappointing. Mystery 101, Signed, Sealed Delivered, Framed for Murder, Ruby Herring,Picture Perfect Mysteries, and Crossword Mysteries.
