We spy a solution for Spectrum cable customers who just last week saw FXX abruptly vanish from their channel guide, and don’t want to miss Archer‘s very final episodes.
On Sept. 11, Charter Communications and The Walt Disney Company reached a new agreement that ended an 18-channel “outage” for Spectrum cable customers. But as part of that deal, a “more curated” package of Disney networks was restored for Spectrum customers — and it doesn’t include FXX, Freeform, Disney Junior, Disney XD, FXM, Baby TV, Nat Geo Wild or Nat Geo Mundo.
And though Disney wound up agreeing to provide the Disney+ Basic tier to Spectrum customers who purchase the Spectrum TV Select package, Archer streams on Hulu. So what is an Archer-loving Spectrum customer to do…?
It was announced on Tuesday that Archer‘s final-season episodes — including the handful that have already aired — are being made available via VOD for subscribers to the linear FX (and FXX channels), in addition to still being available on Hulu.
The fifth episode of Archer’s farewell season drops Sept. 20 at 10/9c, on FXX.

Thank you, TVL! At this time, the Archer eps are still locked out on the FX app (saying only available with FXX) but they are showing up on the Spectrum app.
I wish we could get a 15th season because this season has been so much fun, classic Archer. And 15 has a nicer ring to it than 14.
Funny how this happens after I called to cancel Spectrum and mentioned the loss of Archer & FXX specifically as one of the reasons. Oh well, unless they plan to do the same thing with It’s Always Sunny whenever that returns, Freeform originals, etc., I’m so far liking Sling better anyway – more channels and DVR dollar for dollar (using the Total TV add-on to get additional channels at a bundled price).
Sling, YouTube tv, direct tv stream can be better alternative to watch live as the show airs. Or Hulu live or next day as the article mentioned
