TBS‘ Miracle Workers oughta watch out for that dysentery, because they’re headed to the Oregon Trail.
The cabler’s anthology comedy has been renewed for Season 3, TVLine has learned, with leading men Steve Buscemi and Daniel Radcliffe both returning for the new episodes.

Set in the year 1844, Miracle Workers‘ third season will follow an idealistic small-town preacher (played by Radcliffe) who teams up with a wanted outlaw (Buscemi) and a liberated prairie wife (Geraldine Viswanathan) to lead a wagon train west on the Oregon Trail across an American landscape which, much like today, is fraught with both promise and peril.
Karan Soni, who appeared in the first two seasons of Miracle Workers, will also be back for Season 3.
“Miracle Workers is a perfect example of the fun, escapist humor that we take pride in delivering to our viewers,” said Sam Linsky and Adrienne O’Riain, co-heads of scripted original programming for TBS, TNT and truTV. “We can’t wait to see how this incredibly dynamic cast and talented group of storytellers hilariously rewrite 19th century history.”
Dan Mirk and Robert Padnick, both of whom have worked as producers on the show, will take over as showrunners for Season 3.
“Getting to tell an entirely new story with this ludicrously talented cast each season is a dream come true,” Mirk and Padnick said in a statement. “We could not be happier that TBS has given us the reins on this unique and special show.”
Miracle Workers‘ pickup has been added to our Cable Renewal Scorecard. Are you glad to hear it will be back? Tell us below!
I’m happy it’s renewed but I wish they would have continued season 2’s story. I loved those characters so much.
I was hoping for a “space”-set season, so maybe next year …
.
But I’m ok with this troupe doing wagon train in the meantime.

Was this supposed to be a one-and-done series? Just wondering, because the name Miracle Workers obviously only fit for S1, unless we’re supposed to think the title applied to the sh*t shovelers in s2. Just wondering what the showrunners think abut continuing this title now that it’s an anthology. (I’m thinking of you, Cougar Town!)
The series was called an “anthology comedy” when it was picked up to series. The title might not be a perfect fit for subsequent seasons, but it is not as unwieldy as Dirty John (USA anthology series) for example.
Thanks. I just cant recall anything about the origins of the show other than my glee that Daniel Radcliffe was doing another TV series!
This show is seriously funny but I wish the seasons and episodes were longer.
Anyone know a streaming service where I can catch Season 2?
S2 is on TBS.com – doesn’t seem to be anywhere else yet (S1 is on HBO Max)
I watched both seasons on youtube TV.. waiting for season three now.
I’m thrilled that this hilarious series has been renewed and coming back to the viewers. I came upon it in season two and then went back to watch season one. Good move bringing this back TBS, with so many other networks tanking the good shows in favor of cheap brainless reality junk. I can’t wait to see what the gang does with this bit of history. :-)
Yasss I love this show and the cast! They need more episodes tho, their seasons are short.
Yes! Fantastic news. I’ve recommended this show to so many people who have never heard of it. Geraldine Viswanathan is such a star.
I loved s1. S2 didn’t really hold my attention, so hopefully this new season will redeem it for me.
love everything about this show, so happy it was renewed!
Can’t wait! Didn’t care for 1st season, but LOVED 2nd season. It was LOL funny. Great writing.
Hell yes, finally some good news.
