TBS‘ Miracle Workers — the cable network’s last remaining live-action original series — will at last return with Season 4 this summer. [pmc_inline_gallery]
The cable network announced Wednesday that the delayed fourth installment, which was initially earmarked for a January premiere, will finally bow on Monday, July 10 at 10/9c.
Dubbed Miracle Workers: End Times, Season 4 features returning stars Daniel Radcliffe, Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Karan Soni and Jon Bass as all-new characters “in a dystopian future full of radioactive mutants, killer robots and a tyrannical homeowner’s association with outrageous annual fees,” per the official description.
“In a post-apocalyptic future, a wasteland warrior (Radcliffe) and a ruthless warlord (Viswanathan) face the most dystopian nightmare of all: settling down in the suburbs,” the synopsis reads. “Together they navigate the existential horrors of married life and small-town living, all under the dubious guidance of a wealthy junk trader (Buscemi).”
Season 4 will also include guest appearances from Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Garcelle Beauvais (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Kyle Mooney and Ego Nwodim (Saturday Night Live), Lolly Adefope (Shrill), Paul F. Tompkins (HouseBroken) and singer Lisa Loeb.
TVLine’s cable TV scorecard has been updated with this scheduling news. Excited for the long-delayed return of Miracle Workers? Sound off in the comments below.
Wow, finally. That’s good to hear. I was starting to get concerned that they weren’t going to release it at all.
That was my worry, also.
Yay! About time!!! This is one of the few scripted shows left on TV that I like, since the networks are bound and determined to do a nosedive into cheap reality drivel. Can’t wait!
Good news! I’ve been desperate to see the rest ever since they accidentally released the first episode months ago.
Good, now let’s hopped TNT or whoever releases the final season of Snowpiercer.
With Miracle Workers and Lazarus project also being pulled earlier this year ahead of their respective cable premieres, and ongoing writers strike maybe more of these shows will be released.
I agree and I don’t understand why they haven’t been shown already. The episodes are filmed and I’m guessing the cast and support crew have all been paid … so why not show these episodes? Would it be anticipated low ratings or fear that ad sponsors would be reluctant to come onboard? However I think these shows will draw a better audience than seeing repeats after repeats or some other cheaply made show.
This show is all right, but this announcement gives me hope for Snowpiercer. Season 3 is not available to stream, rent, or buy, so it’s a little more shuttered than MW has been, but I’m hoping that changes soon.
It`s amazing how the people at TVLine can´t dig any information out for Snowpiercer by contacting the showrunner for example. They would surely tell are they closing a deal with some company or not.
We are in steady contact with the studio that is actually involved in the shopping of it. (Crickets thus far.)
They should consider releasing the final season direct to dvd/blu ray and just sell episodes individually via platforms like Amazon. I think at this point some money is better than no money and sitting on a season they can’t monetise.
Awesome!
Thanks for the good news!
I forget the exact details, but on Abbott, Janine’s sister I think it was, was wearing a t-shirt that said Steve Buscemi’s daughter. Made me laugh since QB played SB’s daughter on Miracle Workers.
It’s about time!! Very happy to hear!
About damn time!! Why was it delayed in the first place??
FINALLY!!! YAAAAYYYYY
I’ve made peace with this being the final season. I’m just glad they’re showing it at all.
Never heard a peep about this one, but I’m a Radcliffe fan, and it looks very funny.
