Like the twisted stalker at the center of its story, Paramount+’s Fatal Attraction series is dead after one season.
The psychological thriller based on the 1987 film has been cancelled at the streamer, TVLine has learned.
In addition, Rabbit Hole — the corporate espionage thriller starring Kiefer Sutherland — also will not return for Season 2.
Both series’ first seasons will continue to be available on the streaming service.
“Fatal Attraction and Rabbit Hole will not be returning for second seasons on Paramount+,” a rep for the streamer said via statement. “We want to thank both series’ entire creative teams, crews and the fantastic casts for their dedication to bringing these series to life.”
Fatal Attraction starred Joshua Jackson as and Lizzy Caplan in the roles Michael Douglas and Glenn Close played in the movie, respectively. In the May 28 season finale, we learned that Ellen, the college-age daughter of Joshua Jackson’s Dan, had developed into an obsessive stalker just like her dad’s mistress Alex. (Read our full finale recap here.)
TVLine readers gave the Fatal Attraction finale an average grade of “B,” while the season as a whole earned a “B-.”
Rabbit Hole‘s May 9 finale ended with a satisfying, and wonderfully twisty, showdown between Weir (played by Sutherland), Ben (Charles Dance) and the ever-elusive Crowley (Lance Hendriksen) — though a closing tease suggested that there was a powerful, unseen puppet master pulling Crowley’s own strings.
TVLine readers gave the Rabbit Hole finale, and Season 1 as a whole, an average grade of “A.”
This breaks my heart. I loved Rabbit Hole. Never watched the other.
Very disappointed about Rabbit Hole not being renewed! Kiefer Sutherland was so great in it.
Really disappointed that Rabbit Hole has been cancelled, I really enjoyed it and it was great having Kiefer back on tv.
Didn’t watch Rabbit Hole but now I must as I’ve heard good things. Wasn’t that enamored with Fatal Attraction. Not a fan of reboots or continuations, although Joshua Jackson is very good in it.
Thanks for detailing the end of each season. Now I will strike them off my to watch list because I’ve been thoroughly spoiled.
/sarcasm
Put a freaking “spoiler” alert to STOP reading to avoid getting spoiled. Please.
The shows ended at the beginning and end of may, we are now the end of October so 5 months later it’s no longer a “spoiler”
Both these shows ended months ago… We are way past spoiler territory.
Well alrighty then. Just confirms my not renewing Paramount next month. I have no reason to have it now other than the Yellowstone prequels and who knows when those will be back. I do like Joe Pickett but will worry about that if/when it gets a season three.
And Seal Team, but again, who knows when it will be back so …..
New season Nov 1, 2023 on CBS.
I believe Joe Pickett is concluded as well
Nooooo! We enjoyed watching Joe Pickett!
Fact check: Joe Pickett‘s fate is currently TBD

Always a free code available. Try ink, millivanilli, frasier
i thought rabbit hole was very good. Keifer ( Jack Bauer) made the show
It’s like that since the beginning of the summer/strikes… one day a streaming service up is price, the other day a streaming service down is series number.
I love Joshua Jackson (TeamPacey!), but that series didn’t interest me. I did mean to eventually watch Rabbit Hole. I just hadn’t gotten to it yet. So many other things to watch..
I’ll probably still watch Rabbit Hole. :D
Darn, we really liked Rabbit Hole!
Guess they’ll replace them with mindless reality shows that no one with an IQ over 75 wants to watch.
Fingers crossed for season 2 of Wolf Pack.
Who is “Lance Hendriksen”? Are you talking about Lance Henriksen? It’s considered good journalism to spell names correctly.
Not a surprise. Had high hopes for Fatal Attraction based on the cast, but thought it was pretty dull & boring. The 2 leads didn’t have any chemistry. Just wasn’t very good.
Paramount is bleeding money. Star Trek Discover cancelled a year ago has yet to stream it’s final season and Rabbit Hole rated with an A by viewers gets cancelled while plus pumps money into a boring reboot of Frasier and it’s highly paid ⭐ star. Seems to me all streaming services need to focus on what the public wants and maybe ADD a commercial before and after each show to pump up badly needed cash. Raising prices is not going to increase viewership. We could also use some mergers as those who cut the cable cord now pay more because there are so many streamers to choose from. Otherwise streaming is going to die.
One thing to keep in mind about the streamers and their prices raising is that they haven’t been profitable to begin with — they’re paying a lot of money up front to set up the infrastructure for streaming that iTunes and Netflix have had for a decade or more. Conversely, another thing to keep in mind about the rising subscription rates is that the streamers aren’t simply representing one or two channels, like Paramount = CBS + Showtime. They’re essentially their own bundles of every channel the studio offers — in Paramount’s case, CBS, Showtime/TMC, MTV/BET/VH1, Nickelodeon, TV Land, Comedy Central and whatever else I’ve forgotten. Similarly, Disney+, when one does the Disney/Hulu/ESPN bundle that’s almost certainly going to become one streamer at some point has Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, and Nat Geo on the DIsney+ app, FX and FXX and probably one or two others on Hulu (including Hulu’s own programming), and ESPN has a gazillion subschannels.
.
So it’s not as if these subscription prices are analogous to getting one channel on basic cable, they’re analogous to gettnig *entire tiers,* but tiers devoted to one studio’s programming each.
.
I still don’t think that the combined cost of the standard ads tier of the Disney Trio, Paramount+, Peacock, MAX, Netflix and Apple+ combined should come anywhere near the cost of having all those channels via cable. It just feels like it should be at least 20% cheaper combined simply because they all carry ads.
It was the best thing to do!
I really liked Rabbit Hole and don’t understand why it was cancelled. It was an exciting and cerebral show. One of the better series out there. It boggles the mind on what they cancel or keep!
Loved both of the series :(
I enjoyed Rabbit Hole, would have watched another season. Seems like Paramount + must be spending all their dramatic $$ on Taylor Sheridan shows (which I do like) and can’t afford anything else.
Why not have a headline that reads “Paramount+ cancels Fatal Attraction & Rabbit Hole”? There are only two series, and you mention one, and waste more words *not* naming the other…

I loved Rabbit Hole, It was one of the best shows I watched this year. Unfortunately I’m not surprised there will be no season 2. Good shows never last long in this era
Bummer about Rabbit Hole. I really like that show.
So when is the next season of Evil?
Too bad about Cancelling Rabbit Hole . I found it fascinating with a great cast and so relevant to today’s world
One big bummer
How does a show with Kiefer Sutherland and Lance Hendrickson with an “A” grade from viewers get cancelled? Since it was on one of these fly-buy-night streaming things that could be the answer. I would have watched if I did not have to pay extra. “Streaming” is a scam like crypto.
