Station 19 is saying goodbye: The upcoming seventh season of the ABC firefighter drama will be its last, TVLine has confirmed. (Our sister site Deadline first reported the news.) The early decision will “allow producers to craft a proper ending” for the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff.
“For seven seasons, Station 19 has been a highlight of the ABC lineup thanks to Shonda and Betsy’s incredible vision, beloved characters and compelling storytelling,” Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich said in a statement. “With Zoanne and Peter at the helm of the upcoming farewell season, we have so much to look forward to, most notably the celebration of the show’s milestone 100th episode.”
Debuting in 2018, Station 19 still has six of its original cast members: Jaina Lee Ortiz (Andy Herrera), Jason George (Ben Warren), Grey Damon (Jack Gibson), Barrett Doss (Vic Hughes), Jay Hayden (Travis Montgomery) and Danielle Savre (Maya Bishop). The current cast also includes Boris Kodjoe (Robert Sullivan), Stefania Spampinato (Dr. Carina DeLuca) and Carlos Miranda (Theo Ruiz). It was renewed for Season 7 in April, with Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige taking over as co-showrunners from previous boss Krista Vernoff. As noted above, the drama will air its 100th episode during the 10-episode Season 7, which debuts Thursday, Mar. 14 at 10/9c.
Last season, Station 19 averaged 5.2 million total viewers and a 0.7 demo rating, down 15 and 22 percent from its Season 5 numbers. Out of the 10 dramas that ABC aired last season, it ranked fifth in total audience but tied The Rookie for No. 2 in the demo (trailing only Grey’s Anatomy).

They are canceling all the good programs. I do not want any more reality tv. We are invested in the characters and it is cruel to cancel.
Really shocking, because the numbers were good. I loved seasons 1 & 2, but the series became so different from season 3 on that I quit it.
So Greys can go on indefinitely but ABC brings over 911 which has a far bigger budget and bye bye S19? That’s a bunch of crap. And of course it’s ending with it’s shortest season, only getting 10 eps to wrap up. Pretty effing livid about the whole thing.
I love Station 19 AND 911. I was bummed when Fox Cancelled it.
911 got cancelled too???? :-(
This makes no sense. It’s a much better show than Greys Anatomy. Cancel Greys but leave Station alone!!
It’s business Grey brings more than Station 19.
Yes….will Ben return to Grey’s……just ain’t fittin’….the writers and actors strike really messed up TV series…not to say they should not have strike ….totally get their points for doing so….but this TV junkie has missed her TV shows.
I will definitely miss Station 19 as all the characters are strong and well played. It’s also well written and well directed. I have seen every episode.
Will miss this show a lot. Loved the characters, plots and of course the actors.
Please let another company pick it up or put the cast on Greys Anatomy
I will hate seeing this show end!
Yes I will definitely miss Station 19. It is one of my favorites.
Won’t miss it, Too much talk and not enough action!
I love Station 19 but let it go out on a high note. Some of the storylines were getting a bit mundane
The sad part is that they began filming yesterday. Jaina posted a video on her Instagram Stories showing that they are back on set. At least they know ahead of time this is it and can savor every moment of filming.
WTF With high ratings the CANCEL STATION 19. 😡.
Yes I will miss Station 19. I’ve enjoyed every episode since the beginning. I wish the cast well in their next endeavor where it takes them as they have entertained me for years.
OMG. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS. REALLY GONNA MISS THIS SHOW AND ALL THE CAST.
Loved this show and gave me a better understanding of firefighters and their humility
Shocking! One of the most compelling range of storylines EVER!
Ďiď Zoanne and Peter know they were being given just a 10 episode farewell when they accepted their promotions? Didn’t sound like it at the time.
Meanwhile, Grey’s Anatomy continues to limp on…
So bummed about this…and I truly hope Jason George continues on Grey’s.
Nooooooooo!!! This is one of my favorite shows. So sad.
It’s always the best shows that are canceled. This was one of my favorites ❤
Best show on tv, they are stopping all the good ones, absolutely ridiculous!
I’m starting to think all these show cancellations are some sort of retaliation for the strikes
