In the latest TV show ratings, ABC’s Holey Moley teed up Season 3 with 3.1 million total viewers and a 0.5 rating, following by a second episode’s 2.6 mil/0.5 — both leading Thursday in the demo.
Closing out ABC’s night, a first-of-its-kind episode of The Hustler (2 mil/0.3) was down sharply from its Season 1 averages.
CBS’ United States of Al (3.9 mil/0.4) dipped, while Clarice (2.2 mil/0.3) ticked up. A Young Sheldon rerun drew Thursday’s biggest audience, with 4 million total viewers.
Over on The CW, Walker (970K/0.1) dropped a few eyeballs, while Legacies (520K/0.1, read recap) added some.
NBC’s U.S. Golf Open coverage averaged 2.1 mil/0.3, followed by the latest U.S. Olympic trials’ 1.9 mi/0.4.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Warning: Contents may be hot!
Last night’s Clarice was the best of the season. I hope they find a way to keep it on the air. If not CBS or Paramount +, perhaps Prime as Amazon is purchasing MGM.
Clarice rise means nothing since it’s not going to Paramount+ after all. It’s another one and done series. Even though I originally didn’t want to pay for P+ I was thinking of getting it anyway to see where this series goes. Oh, well.
I hope you are wrong and the stalled negotiations is a sign Amazon wants to keep its IP in-house and plan to move the show to Prime.
The Deadline article said it had nothing to do with the merger.
The Deadline article on the Clarice situation suggested(At least to me) that the blame is more on MGM than CBS. They seem to want around 15 episodes while CBS wants 10. The license fee didn’t read like a huge deal but the episode count did.
The increased budget WAS a big thing, and CBS gave in on that part. After you compromise on one big thing, you likely tell them to get bent if they push their luck with another biggie.
Exactly. If the show ends up nowhere that’s entirely on MGM. They would have had a ten episode second season already if they didn’t ask for more episodes.
A Walker with more Harris Ryland in it is a better Walker. I think I fell asleep before the end of Clarice.
Only found out Wednesday that The Hustler would be back Thursday night. Hadn’t heard it got season 2!
Manifest is still apparently being shopped at Netflix. Fingers crossed.
I liked that they aired Star Trek Discovery Season 1 last summer, I hope that they consider airing Season 2 this summer.
Hoping for a good season finale for Legacies next week
If you were to leave someone alone with a TV airing nothing but ‘Holey Moley’, it should be considered torture.
2-hours of commercials packaged like a contest show. Makes the bachelor look like the godfather.
