Upload Sneak Peek: Drunk Ingrid Confronts Nathan About Nora (Exclusive)
Some liquid courage will drive Ingrid to talk to Original Nathan about Norma, err, Nora during this Friday’s Upload.
In the second of this week’s two episodes, Ingrid gets drunk and opens up about her insecurities with AI Bartender, which prompts her to then confront her relationship issues head-on. For starters, Ingrid is unhappy that Nora is spending so much time with her (Backup Copy) Nathan. So in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek, a very wasted Ingrid — randomly sporting pockets full of sand — shows up in the middle of one of Nathan’s real-world missions to issue an order.
“You need to control your girlfriend, Nora,” Ingrid tells Original Nathan, who’s a little stunned not by Ingrid’s demand, but by one word in particular.
“Oh, my God, her name is — What did you just say? You got her name right when you’re drunk?” he replies disbelievingly. (We can’t believe it either.)
Season 3 of the Prime Video comedy, which is unspooling two episodes weekly through Nov. 10, premiered on Oct. 20 with Nora and freshly downloaded Nathan navigating their new relationship “while racing to stop the mysterious conspiracy that threatens to destroy millions of lives. Can they shut down Freeyond, and finally have a real life together? Or is it just a matter of time until Nathan’s head explodes?” reads the official synopsis.
“Meanwhile, in Lakeview, a backup copy of Nathan has been activated and Ingrid’s not about to let this second chance at love slip away,” the description continues. “Back in the real world, Aleesha rises through the ranks of Horizen by managing AI education, and falls into a new romantic relationship. And Luke, all alone in Lakeview, is forced to come up with the funds to pay for his stay in paradise, driving him to work in The Grey Zone.”

I’m liking Ingrid’s transformation into a flawed protagonist – she probably has the most interesting arc of any character on the show.
And all of the little details fleshing out the depressingly dystopian future world are inventively dark.
She’s kind of stealing the show recently. Probably gone from my least favorite to favorite character. It’s impossible not to feel for her.
