Jennifer Lopez’s latest straight-to-Netflix flick, Atlas, bested Dune: Part Two on Max, on Nielsen’s latest U.S. ranking of streaming movies and series.
The two-hour Atlas racked up 795 million minutes viewed, to top Nielsen’s Movies chart for the week of May 20 and rank No. 5 on the Overall chart.
Dune: Part Two, which clocked in at two hours and 45 minutes and premiered three days earlier than Atlas, meanwhile totaled 711 million minutes viewed, which was good for No. 2 on the Movies chart and No. 9 on Nielsen’s Overall ranking.
Netflix’s Bridgerton again dominated the overall chart as well as Nielsen’s ranking of streaming originals, this time with nearly 2.2 billion minutes viewed across 20 available episodes. Paramount+’s Evil again placed (a distant) second (with 719 million minutes viewed/37 available episodes), followed by Prime Video’s Outer Range (476 million minutes/15 episodes), Netflix’s Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal (389 million minutes/three episodes) and the chart debut of Netflix’s Tires comedy (330 million minutes/six episodes).
Rounding out the Top 10 originals for the week of May 20 were Prime Video’s Fallout, Netflix’s Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, the chart debut of Netflix’s Bodkin, Max’s Hacks and the chart debut of Hulu’s Under the Bridge.

Atlas …..ugh. this is exactly why Netflix so expensive they put some big name celebrity into a movie that has a poor script for Memorial Day weekend. If they had invested in a better script instead of JLo’s hair it could have been a worthwhile movie.

I did watch Atlas but not Dune. Atlas started out great but got boring in the middle. I still finished it though.
I haven’t seen Dune 2 either, but only made it through 15 minutes of Atlas before I turned it off. Horrible movie.
If Evil is doing well, why is being cancelled??? :(
Atlas was better than expected. Happy it’s doing well!
