AnnaLynne McCord Arrives on Days of Our Lives — But Who Is She Playing?
AnnaLynne McCord has officially transitioned from one iconic locale to another. The former 90210 star made her long-awaited debut on Wednesday’s episode of Days of Our Lives — but what’s bringing her to Salem?
Despite Days‘ social channels hyping up Wednesday’s episode as McCord’s big debut, the actress was only briefly shown in one scene. And she didn’t even reveal her face, much less utter a line of dialogue.
For those who don’t speak fluent Days, allow us to set the scene: Chad (Billy Flynn) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) arrived in Chicago, following a tip that Chad’s presumed-dead wife Abigail may not be as deceased as we’ve believed her to be. Abigail’s killer, Clyde (James Read), told them they would find their answers in a safety deposit box, which took them half the episode to open.
Inside the box was a flash drive containing grainy footage of what appeared to be an empty room — that is, until they noticed a visibly frazzled woman pacing around in circles. Could it be Abigail? That’s the question Chad intended to ask Clyde upon returning to Salem, only to discover that the criminal had already been transported to a maximum security prison. No visitors allowed.
Like Chad and Julie, the audience is now left to theorize whether McCord’s mystery woman might actually be Abigail, or if she’s someone else entirely. And there will only be more questions coming as this storyline progresses, according to McCord herself.
“What we believe is that she’s Abigail Devereux, back from the dead,” McCord tells our sister site Soaps.com. “But even if she is, and Chad is ‘the love of her life,’ she still doesn’t feel anything [for him] because she doesn’t know who she is. She’s had amnesia. She’s gone through a serious accident. She’s had plastic surgery. She has had a whole myriad of things occur and she is navigating a really sticky situation when you first meet her.”
Hold on, plastic surgery and amnesia? What show is this, some kind of soap opera?!

Fake Abigail.
Neither of these theories are correct. Yes, she’s a new mystery character, but that doesn’t necessarily equate to her being Abigail. Not being Abigail also doesn’t equate to her being apart of some scheme. This is just two separate stories that(as a part of the story, gets confused). She will be believed to be Abigail, but in true Days fashion, she’s really “Sami Brady”; with plastic surgery done and amnesia… just a thought.
lolololol, You are a joke! No, The large number of family Sami has especially her daughter Sydney would be on a hunt for her mother LONG AGO! Though, I do have a thought on Sami being recast, I would love to see Elizabeth Gillies aka Fallon Carrington on the last edition of Dynasty. She would be the best replacement for Sami.
I think Ms. McCord will eventually be Abby bc they want be that mean to Chad or the Horton’s or the fans, IMO.
It could be the show wants to see how the audience reacts before saying she’s Abigail or not or whether she’s a good or bad character.
That would be hard since the show tapes so far in advance. They are showing storylines that were developed and taped late last fall, or early winter. They have something planned. She could be Abby, and there might be many reasons for the plastic surgery. But the show is unlikely trying to gage response. Because any response to the introduction would not be on screen until 2025.
I don’t know anything about the storyline LOL. But plastic surgery? Abigail was murdered, right. She was not in a disfigering car crash. So, it’s probably someone’s plan to fool Abby’s family…
She was stabbed in the stomach, and died in her husband’s arms. But on Days nothing needs to make any sense whatsoever.
Day’s has had more people with amnesia than we have in the US that really have it! Same old story line for Day’s. I am glad I stopped watching it just before it left NBC.
Was just thinking about the similarities between what’s described here and Chandler Massey’s return as Will a while back.
And I was thinking about the similarities to John Black entering the show and thinking he was Roman Brady, haha!
I hope it’s not. There was too much of her death shown on screen for it to be believable. Still, I know this is a soap, where many died from a serial killer just to really be on an island, Bo Brady awoke from being frozen just to go back into a coma, and a Dimera came back after years due to his brother’s heart and the work of a mad scientist….so really anything is possible.
And Jack came back after donating all his organs.
Today’s episode annoyed me. I knew she wouldn’t be seen until the last 5 mins of the episode and her face wouldn’t be shown. They watched her on some hard drive from the safety deposit box. They have been hyping her appearance for weeks and gave us nothing.
Right… getting bored with it all.

My wife has me watching I’m a 64 yr old male …first this is a crazy story line leave it be she was murdered u don’t bring people back to life unless she is Frankenstein
.that I’ve seen here is these screenwriters are insane plots are to stupid to be true I know it’s a soap but come on make it real people don’t come back from some flower !! This is the worst show and I tell my wife this she just says it’s a soap sorry a unreal sop plus they take forever to make the story just like Eric’s baby uran no one checks records

Another long story line that’s going to be boring and the same old scenario please don’t put the fans through it again. Days of our lives need to stop with the bringing people from the dead I’m so over it 😒 can’t wait until the new soap comes on Bye Days of our lives I have been a loyal fan for over 40 years and I am just fed up with the fact that it never changes.

I haven’t kept up with DAYS since it started regular TV, which would like to see it come back on. I have been catching up on the series on my cell. I don’t know who some of the characters are, but I will figure it out. I was wondering who supposedly killed her but glad she isn’t “deceased “. Shame that Marci Miller won’t be playing tge part. She is a very terrific actress. One other note: will Sami ever come back? She made the show so interesting. I know she has other things going on but bring her back even if it’s not Allison playing the part. She is terrific. I catch every movie she makes.
I LOVED AnnaLynne McCord on 90210 and in movies she appeared in and am so excited to hear she will be gracing our screens yet again. Welcome back to this talented actress and good luck with whoever your newest character turns out to be.

bring the old Abigail back. VDr. Rolf was probably involved. it hasn’t been the same without her and Hope.
Sydney would make sense. No more awfully embarrassing “writing” by making a “Mad” Dr. Rolf serum for the UMPTEENTH time to bring a “dead” character back to life in the never-monitored Salem U Hospital morgue (where the Frankenstein revival happened for at least 10 different characters). Same goes with ZILLIONTH amnesia case. How about making her Melanie Jonas????? I’m a 1.5 months behind but what’s with these P.O.S. “writers” (((padding))) the show with 3-4 flashbacks PER EPISODE?!

It was already leaked maybe a week ago that AM is not Abby. She will be believed to be for a while, but eventually it will be revealed that she is a member of that new Green family that DOOL recently introduced. I don’t know all the details. I saw all the reactions on Twitter but didn’t see the source of the leak. Apparently someone at DOOL posted a photo of the Green family and she was in it. The pic was taken down but fans already caught on to the fake Abby angle. I guess Clyde is manipulating her so she’s also a victim. She’s not conning people.

I just wish that Marci would return, she was definitely one of my favorites on the show.
How could this be Abigail, they actually showed her dieing on the bed with Chad trying to stop the bleeding. Of course anything could happen on days, but this truly unbelievable after Marci Miller left the role over a year ago….. I think the storyline should be left alone and Chad finds a new love 💕….
Maybe this storyline will help him get over Abigail so he can finally move on.
It’s so weird, I sit with an elderly couple that watch days, I used to sit and watch with my paw paw until his death in 1998, it’s still the same after all these years it only took me 2 episodes to catch up, talk about getting old but I’m glad you didn’t drag on for a year for the return of Nicole baby. Let Abby (so you say) let it be Sami. Stef and Chad bk together Bobby and Jada, .
