Law & Order: Organized Crime

Law & Order: Organized Crime is a spinoff of Law & Order: SVU — which is itself an offshoot of the original Law & Order. The series premiered on April 1, 2021, following a SVU episode that found Det. Elliot Stabler (played by Chris Meloni), returning to the United States after years spent in Italy.

When his wife, Kathy, was murdered during that trip, a confluence of events led him to relocate to New York City and work with the New York Police Department’s Organized Crime Control Bureau. His boss in this endeavor is Sgt. Ayanna Bell (played by Danielle Moné Truitt), and his co-workers include tech expert Det. Jet Slootmaekers (played by Ainsley Seiger) and Det. Bobby Reyes (played by Rick Gonzalez).

Stabler’s return to America also marked the first time he and his former NYPD partner, SVU‘s Olivia Benson, spoke since his (and Meloni’s) abrupt departure after SVU‘s Season 12. The repair of that relationship — and Benson and Stabler’s squads working together on various cases — has resulted in several crossover events between Organized Crime and SVU

Law & Order: Organized Crime airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.
