Station 19

Created by Stacy McKee, Station 19 shines a spotlight on a group of heroic Seattle firefighters as they battle blazes by day and turn up the heat by night. At the heart of the drama is Jaina Lee Ortiz’s Andy Herrera, who is hell-bent on not only being as good a captain as her revered late father but a better one.

Among the members of her intrepid team of first-responders are ex-husband Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe), former Olympic athlete Maya Bishop (played by Danielle Savre), foster-care survivor Jack Gibson (Grey Damon), widower Travis Montgomery (Jay Hayden) and unlucky-in-love Victoria “Vic” Hughes (Barrett Doss).

The second spinoff of Grey’s Anatomy (after Private Practice) often features crossover characters from its long-running sister series and includes two regulars — Jason George (Ben Warren) and Stefania Spampinato (Carina DeLuca) — who previously scrubbed in on the medical drama. The cast also includes Carlos Miranda as firefighter Theo Ruiz and Greenleaf alum Merle Dandridge as Chief Natasha Ross.

Despite its solid ratings, Station 19, which premiered in March 2018, was cancelled by ABC in December 2023, meaning that its 10-episode seventh season would also be its last.

Station 19 airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC and can be streamed next day on Hulu.
