Save the date: Penelope and Colin are getting married!
Word’s out on their engagement in a new trailer for Bridgerton Season 3, Part 2, but not everyone is thrilled. In the above video, Eloise confronts Penelope with an ultimatum: Tell Colin about her Lady Whistledown alter ego, or she will.
There’s plenty to address in the season’s remaining episodes — premiering Thursday, June 13 on Netflix — including how Penelope continues to navigate her Lady Whistledown secret now that she’s with Colin; Francesca’s burgeoning romance with John Stirling, Earl of Kilmartin; Lady Danbury’s strained relationship with her brother Lord Marcus Anderson; and whether Penelope’s falling out with Eloise is permanent.
Part 1, meanwhile, focused on the third-born Featherington’s efforts to get over her crush on Colin, who returned from his summer travels with newfound swagger. In turn, he grappled with his own conflicted feels while helping her find a suitable husband. But all of that went out the window with a steamy carriage ride that took their relationship to an entirely new level in Episode 4. (Read our breakdown of that scene here.)

I know these aren’t the books, but I really hope they don’t change what he does for her… so much love, kindness, & respect. Colin is my favorite book because of this scene.
