Pretty soon, Ben Song (played by Raymond Lee) will have more jobs than Barbie.
NBC has unveiled the full trailer for Quantum Leap’s second season, which will see the time traveler take on loads more new roles — including spy, Nazi puncher, L.A. riots observer, and an accused witch during the Salem Witch Trials.

Premiering Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 8/7c, Season 2 finds Ben still traveling through time after failing to return home. In the Season 1 finale, Ben successfully stopped Martinez from murdering his fiancée Addison — Martinez was killed in the Western town of Salvation in 1879 — and the team braced for Ben’s arrival at headquarters. However, a Season 2 sneak peek confirmed that Ben instead lands in the body of a man named Perez in 1978.
The entire Season 1 cast is set to return, including Lee as Ben, Caitlin Bassett as Addison, Ernie Hudson as Magic, Mason Alexander Park as Ian, and Nanrisa Lee as Jenn.
New additions for this season, meanwhile, include Eliza Taylor (The 100) as Hannah Carson, “a complex young woman” who will be introduced in Season 2’s third episode, and Peter Gadiot (Yellowjackets, One Piece) as U.S. Army Officer Tom Westfall, a special forces vet who will oversee the Quantum Leap project.
Additionally, Manifest alum Melissa Roxburgh will guest-star alongside Francois Arnaud (Midnight Texas), Aaron Abrams (Hannibal, Blindspot), and P.J. Byrne (The Boys) in the Season 2 premiere.

Yeah, but how many episodes will there be before the strike shut them down? I know they kept going after finishing Season One because the writer’s strike was imminent. Did they get 7? 10? How long will this season be?
Word was 8 episodes were shot
The OG QL had a great LA Riots episode. Big shoes for new QL and Ben to fill
Yes, but that was Watts, and this will be Rodney King. About the same gap of time between event and episode though so should be good
I’m so ready for this!! Raymond is great in the role.
Is Georgina Reilly returning as Janis Calavicci in season 2. My guess is probably no since her father was tied to the project and her role was specific to season 1.
I like the show but I’m just curious as to why there was no backlash from particular groups who always have something to say when other shows are rebooted with a different ethnicity or gender? I’m all for equality and inclusion but if we are going to pick and choose which ethnicity or gender are acceptable what’s the point of inclusion and equality? Having to look a certain way in order to be accepted is an horrible example for this generation and the many generations to come.
One could argue that he was selected to the program because of the high expectation of Asian parents (single mother in this character case) to achieve academic excellence, which is an old stereotypical trope. Also his blonde hair blue eyes former military girlfriend was the original chosen one to do the jump, but then again that probably an “unnecessary” gender swap to you.
Pretty sure I saw backlash back when it was announced. Not sure why you’re looking for it.
