The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA)’s Wireless Innovation Fund (Round 3) is now open, offering up to $450M in funding to drive innovation, competition, and supply chain diversity in telecommunications. 🔑 Key Focus Areas: This round focuses on two Strategic Research Focus Areas (SRFAs): 🔹 SRFA 1: Industry Vertical Solutions Develop software leveraging Open RAN interfaces to create innovative solutions for industries like utilities, mining, manufacturing, and more. Funding: $24M–$50M per project 🔹 SRFA 2: Integration Automation Solutions Build software to simplify multi-vendor integration through automation. 🚀 Big News from MTI: Shaping the Future of Wireless Networks! 🚀   We're beyond excited to share that MTI (Microelectronics Technology Inc.) has been awarded nearly US$35 million in funding as part of the Biden-Harris Administration's NOFO2 initiative to advance 5G Open RAN wireless solutions! 🎉   This project is funded by the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, which aims to promote wireless innovation, foster competition, and enhance supply chain resilience.    Thanks to this grant from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), MTI will continue to push the boundaries of #wireless innovation, delivering the next generation of #radio solutions that will enhance connectivity for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) in the U.S. and around the world 🌍, making 5G networks more secure, scalable, and affordable! 🌟   MTI is one of seven key recipients selected to lead the charge in developing cutting-edge, energy-efficient #5G technologies and #OpenRAN radio units.
