Hidden below the natural rugged beauty of Washington DC’s Potomac River and Great Falls Park, the Potomac Interceptor sanitary sewer system moves over 60 million gallons of wastewater daily, carrying it more than 54 miles and serving multiple counties as well as Dulles International Airport.   Maintaining its service is critical to protecting both communities and the natural environment – but it’s not an easy task.   Our team is working alongside DC Water to investigate and rehabilitate tens of thousands of feet of the most vulnerable sections, to ensure the Interceptor’s continued reliability.   To learn more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eFzD4wp9   #TYLinConnects #TYLinWater

Spanning the breathtaking Usumacinta River, the new Boca del Cerro Bridge in Mexico is more than a feat of engineering—it’s a symbol of progress that respects the past and preserves the environment. As part of the visionary Tren Maya project, this stunning structure rises alongside its historic 1950s counterpart, creating a harmonious connection between history and modernity. Featuring a variable-depth composite truss, the bridge ensures durability for heavy railway traffic while minimizing environmental impact. Constructed using an innovative cantilevered method to protect the river, it enhances connectivity across the Yucatán Peninsula, balancing advancement with preservation. Enjoy our photo essay exploring the design and construction approach that guaranteed minimal impact on the surrounding area. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gzhhEHTy #TYLinConnects #BridgeDesign #SustainabilityInAction Miguel Ortega Cornejo

We are excited to be featured as a top contender in Civil + Structural Magazine’s 2024 Yearbook of Engineering Achievement. The Great Water Alliance Program was a multi-year, multimillion-dollar effort to transition the City of Waukesha’s water supply to Lake Michigan. A true sustainability success story, this massive undertaking included miles and miles of pipeline, multiple pumping stations and ground storage reservoirs, a return flow pumping station, and more. With the help of our project partners, we achieved a net zero impact on Lake Michigan while setting a new industry standard for community engagement, innovation, and engineering excellence.
