VertexCom Publishes its HPAV Test Tool on GitHub Accelerate EV Charging Product Development VertexCom, a leading provider of smart charging communication chips, publishes its HomePlug AV(HPAV) Test Tool on GitHub to accelerate the development of electric vehicle(EV) charging products. GitHub is a developer platform that allows developers to create, store, manage, and share their code. It is commonly used to host open source software development projects. Dr. HH Li, the president of Vertexcom states that in order to let more potential customers try our HomePlug GreenPHY (HPGP) chips MSE1021/MSE1022 and help our customers develop their electric vehicle charging products more conveniently, we decided to release our HPAV Test Tool on GitHub. Furthermore, VertexCom’s module partner, chargebyte, creates an SPI driver based on VertexCom MSE1021/MSE1022, which can be installed in Raspberry Pi. The driver has recently been merged and published on GitHub. In other words, future versions of Raspberry Pi OS will come with pre-built drivers so customers don't have to build their own. chargebyte’s EVSE charge controller, Charge Control D, PLC Stamp Multi VERT and Charge SOM have been designed specifically for EV charging systems in compliance with ISO 15118, the basis of CCS and NACS charging standards. The underlying chipset VertexCom MSE1021+MSEX24-i ensures reliable communication between the EV and EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) and interoperability with existing solutions on both sides of the communication link.
