Without a doubt, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. TL;DR: This hotel deprived me of my peace by giving strangers access to my room, deprived me of sleep due to constant noise, and deprived me of rest by assigning me the ”homework” of conducting an analysis of their ”areas for improvement.” My coworkers and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon/evening for a 3-night stay. Despite having made reservations almost a month in advance, they had oversold 2 of the 4 rooms. They didn't admit this immediately but claimed that the rooms ”weren't ready.” We went out for dinner, and upon our return (a couple of hours later), they informed us that they would upgrade them for better rooms. Regarding the rooms themselves, there were issues ranging from missing hairdryers or amenities to none of them having hand towels. The shower had dried foam and shaved hair. The shower water would drain back into the bathroom floor, resulting in a flooded bathroom. The coffee maker was never cleaned, nor the carafe rinsed. The noise was unbearable: All the noise from the floors above/below was heard clearly. Even when they took out the trash. Not to mention the plumbing; you could clearly hear when someone in another room used the shower. The ”Do Not Disturb” sign was not respected. In two rooms, we put the sign up because for conference calls and in both rooms, there was repeated knocking on the door, on behalf of the staff. As for the staff's attention: There was a clear lack of internal communication and clarity in policies/concepts. This was reflected in innocuous details like not following up on requests (despite staying there for 3 nights, hand towels NEVER appeared), to unprofessional arguments in front of us regarding the total amount to be charged. The most serious lack of professionalism was when, one night (at 10:40 pm), someone (a new guest) entered my room. Aside from nervous laughter, there was no response from management. They offered to ”invite us to dinner” (as if that were relevant) and discount the stay... no, the night... no, half of it... In the end, a week after my stay there, not a single cent has been refunded, nor will it be refunded. The excuse: Despite their refund form requesting a card number, ”what they need is the CLABE... oh, sorry... rather, the account number” (which is extracted from the CLABE, but they want me to confirm it...). All of this with a day in between each absurd request. Even after resolving all of this, the excuse is that ”the accountant is very busy.” 7 days there are still no results. The lack of attention and follow-up by the staff was such that every time a problem arose, they asked us to list all the observations we had about it. The culmination (and absurdity) of this was when they asked for a written report, which I provided on SIX pages detailing all the incidents. What came of that? Absolutely nothing.
