Hotel Raj Palace was a great base for our adventures in Maheshwar. The room was comfortable and clean, although a bit small, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Sagar and his family added a personal touch, making us feel really at home, with information about the town and the local area, and assistance as needed. All in all we felt comfortable and well looked after. I recommend a balcony room, overlooking the Narmada River and Raja Rajeshwar Temple. Maheshwar has a lot to offer, being reminiscent of India of old. We explored the whole town on foot, met some very lovely people and could have stayed longer than the 12 days we booked.

The property location is on the fort but a very congested place a clean but small room with a small balcony and swing no riverview. Lift is not there we need to take stairs to reach our room on the 3rd floor. Kitchen / pantry not there in hotel we need to visit nearby small restaurant for breakfast/ lunch etc. Very cooperative and soft spoken staff. The place is overpriced. The ghat and all temples are very nearby so you can visit frequently on ghat if you wish so. I suggest some manual locking of doors from inside for the safety of tourists like tower boult or something like that as of now there is only latch lock which can be opened from outside with the other kay

If you are looking for urgent or transit room for sleeping you can opt this. Don’t book online as they gave me old rooms and different then pictures Toilets are too old. See the images. Room is small but clean but old lodge style. Locks are old. Bed sheets are washed more than 100 times. Owner is old and good person. I am giving 3 star was felt cheated with photos posted to online.
