About us
Kampala International University in Tanzania (KIUT) is a private university located in Gongo la Mboto, Dar es Salaam, offering a variety of courses in the fields of Health Sciences, Business, Information Technology, Social Sciences, Legal Studies and Education with it academic portfolio expanding annually to cater for the market demand of skilled graduates. Our courses range from certificate level through to Diploma, Bachelor Degree and Post Graduate. KIUT's humble beginnings can be traced back in 2008 when it was a Constituent College (Kampala International University-Dar es Salaam Constituent College), an affiliate of Kampala International University (KIU) in Uganda with its main goal to run academic and professional courses offered by (KIU-Uganda) through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of course delivery. The rising number of applicants in 2010 and the response to social demand, particularly by Tanzanian youth for more places to pursue Higher Learning studies, led the college leadership to search for a new and permanent location that would facilitate university education through both ODL and residential (full time) modes of course delivery. This move also led the way for the college to pursue a Certificate of Full Registration (CFR) to become a full fledged university, which was obtained in July 2017 under the new and current name, "Kampala International University in Tanzania." Through the course of the years, since its inception, the university has invested and dedicate heavily in providing quality education by ensuring the labour market, whether through employment or self-employment, is supplied with graduates of international repute as envisioned in its vision and mission statement. Currently, courses offered are clinical medicine, medical laboratory, pharmacy, law, social work and social administration, public administration, business administration, IT, computer science, medicine and surgery, human resources, supply and procurement, education.
