Lift Them Up Foundation

So proud for the progress we have so far on our project. Having a new land to build a pre primary and primary school, having a well to access water and starting a construction of pre primary school. We still looking for partners and volunteers to support the project of building pre and primary school at Kikatiti village Arusha Tanzania. LITU aims to tie these two problems together into one solution in the village of Kikatiti. It currently provides 40 children with the resources needed to succeed in further education while providing them with proper hygiene. LITU helps ensure that children are practicing proper hygiene and it teaches basic English, sums, and reading to prepare children for success in primary education. It helps to remove the economic barrier to education by seeking sponsorship for the children within the program. Furthermore, it works with girls who haven’t had an opportunity to complete a formal education by teaching them vocational skills such as sewing and providing them with a hygienic environment in which to do so. By working to provide children with better opportunities it paves the way for future improvement in the country as a whole.  The current goals of LITU are to improve upon resources available to children in the classroom, to build a better classroom, and to build new washrooms to maintain cleanliness and health in the school setting. LITU wants to build a larger pre-primary and primary school in order to have space for 370 children 40% of which will be fully supported and given free education and resources. LITU has currently rented a place with two small classes which does not meet the needs of the community and only supports, as mentioned above, 40 children. LITU is committed to promoting the education sector in the Nasholi village at Kikatiti to reach a larger number of children in need.  We welcome NGO's, private companies, individuals and families who are interested in education, children and environment to support us.
