It is evident that through the #africanunyouthdelegateprogram , we have sparked conversations that our nation must reflect upon for a better tomorrow. These discussions emphasize the power of collective thought and the importance of preparing the next generation for leadership. With the strong representation of youth in major platforms like #unga79 , we see the need to amplify youth participation in decision-making processes. This is the time to unite our efforts and ensure that no one is left behind in shaping a brighter future for all.

UNA Tanzania is committed to deepening our understanding and integration of gender issues in all aspects of our work. To achieve this, we organized an internal capacity-building session for our staff, focusing on gender dynamics within the workplace and across the projects we implement. The training, led by Flora Ndaba, Head of Activism and Movement Building at Tanzania Gender Networking Programme (TGNP) , provided our team with valuable insights and skills to mainstream gender in their daily roles. As an organization, we prioritize continuous learning to enhance our capacity in addressing cross-cutting issues like gender equality. By equipping our staff with the necessary tools and knowledge, we ensure that our initiatives are inclusive, impactful, and aligned with our mission to create a just and equitable society. #genderequality #gendermainstreaming #capacitybuilding #unatanzania

The Pact for the Future has already been adopted by the UN member states. UNA Tanzania successfully convened a dynamic session, bringing together key development stakeholders from CSOs and government sectors. The Post-Summit Session provided a unique platform to reflect on the Pact for the Future and explore pathways to localize its ambitious goals. Vibrant and open-minded participants shared impactful insights on the Declaration for Future Generations and the critical role of youth in shaping tomorrow. From engaging panel discussions to thought-provoking Q&A sessions, the conversation centered on science, digital innovation, and empowering youth for a sustainable future. This vibrant exchange of ideas inspired practical approaches to address emerging challenges. The session concluded with an exploration of key takeaways from the Summit of the Future, held in New York this September. By reflecting on the outcomes shared by attending stakeholders, we aim to align our strategies with global commitments, ensuring a future that truly leaves no one behind. #pactforthefuture #postsummit

Did you know? Women are almost twice as likely to experience intimate partner violence in countries without domestic violence laws (16.1%) compared to those with such protections (9.5%). This #16DaysOfActivism, let’s amplify the call for stronger laws and policies to end violence against women and girls.
