About us

Empowering the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Tanzania 🌏 Co-working | Capacity Building | Community | Westerwelle Startup Haus Arusha is part of the global Westerwelle Foundation, which was founded in 2013 by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Guido Westerwelle and entrepreneur Ralph Dommermuth. At its core the Westerwelle Foundation aims at creating opportunities for young people in emerging countries and strengthening local entrepreneurship ecosystems. How do we do this? Through our startup hubs and support programmes. We currently have four startup hubs in Africa: Tunisia, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya. Each Westerwelle Startup Haus offers co-working, capacity building and access to the local startup community. Our programmes support startups all the way from ideation to international acceleration. Programmes at Westerwelle Startup Haus Arusha have focused for example on supporting women climate entrepreneurs, nurturing digital talent, and facilitating international expansion.
