Exciting news alert! 🚨 Researchers at the University of Cambridge have developed an AI tool that can predict with over 80% accuracy of whether someone with early signs of dementia will progress to Alzheimer's disease. As the researchers note, up to 1/3 of patients today are misdiagnosed or diagnosed too late for treatment to be effective. Their AI tool used cognitive tests and MRI scans to make predictions, allowing for earlier intervention without costly, invasive diagnostic tests. At Diversido, we're thrilled to see AI and modern technologies making such impact. We developed apps like Happy Mind, Brain Health Monitoring, and Inspirers to show how mobile technology can transform patient care. For example, Brain Health Monitoring uses fun games to track emotional, cognitive, and motor function. The potential here is enormous. As AI continues to advance, we may soon have tools that can detect Alzheimer's and other conditions far earlier than ever before. It means better outcomes for patients and lower healthcare costs.
