DTEK Oil&Gas received a modern 50 kW energy storage system (BESS) from the Finnish company Cactos. The system allows the company to store energy when it is abundant and use it when it is scarce. DTEK Grids received another similar system. The equipment was received as part of DTEK's project, initiated by the Energy Infrastructure Restoration Office. By the end of the year, we expect to receive one Cactos system more. Two additional systems will also go to our colleagues at DTEK Energy This project was supported through the Finnpartnership grant programme.

Nataliia Grebeniuk, Executive Director of DTEK Oil&Gas, spoke to the students of the Subsoil Management Programme at the KSE Graduate Business School. This is the first comprehensive programme in Ukraine that provides complex knowledge of the processes and approaches to project management in the extractive industry. As part of the first module, the programme students learned about geological risk analysis and the economics of exploration, considered various methods of evaluating a prospective structure, and saw how these approaches work in practice at DTEK Oil&Gas. "Our industry requires not only deep technical knowledge but also an understanding of strategic management, sustainable development and modern approaches to subsoil use. Tragically, updated information reveals that Dmytro Petlenko, a power engineer and boiler-turbine department patrolman at one of DTEK’s thermal power plants, was killed during this morning’s attacks. Dmytro was 51 years old and dedicated over 30 years of his life to the profession of power engineering. This is a significant loss for the Ukrainian energy sector. We extend our deepest condolences to Dmytro's family, and will provide them with all necessary assistance. We will remember him. #FightForLight #StandWithUkraine

"All children, when discovering the world, show a high interest in everything new. It helps them learn quickly, naturally and with interest. An effective development of the company team depends on a similar thing: whether we manage to awaken their desire for learning and their "childlike" interest in the latest methods, approaches and technologies. This is the key to continuous professional growth of the team and sustainable development of the company," said Natalia Grebeniuk, Executive Director of DTEK Oil&Gas, during a panel discussion as part of the Oil&Gas Talks project aimed at developing competencies and improving soft skills of employees.
