🚀 Sharing the results from Hardware for Recovery | Lviv Hackathon that took place on November 22-24 in Lviv! From over 130 applications, 27 teams were selected to work tirelessly on developing innovative hardware solutions during the three-day hackathon. 24 teams made it to the finals, and here are our winners: 🥇 First Place — 50,000 UAH — Touch Vision: A comprehensive system designed to improve users' visual-motor skills and reaction time. The system's core component features 53 touch sensors arranged on a board in front of the user. 🥈 Second Place — 30,000 UAH — Allbionics: A 100% Ukrainian-made bionic hand and forearm prosthesis, complete from hand to socket. 🥉 Third Place — 20,000 UAH — HowCow: A device and CRM system for 🐮 that enhances farm productivity through real-time monitoring, timely detection of fertilization, and animal health issue identification. Special recognition: Our partners Noosphere awarded PL KPI of Igor Sikorsky team for their ePastukh solution — a system that monitors cattle grazing using drones and a mobile app. Bonus achievement: HowCow team also received an invitation to participate in the Challenger Accelerator AI pre-acceleration bootcamp! Congratulations to all winning teams and a huge thank you to all participants for their hard work, enthusiasm, and for creating such a friendly atmosphere throughout the hackathon! IRON Lviv Tech Cluster and the Lviv City Council have signed a memorandum of cooperation 🤝 We’ve taken another important step to develop Lviv’s tech sector and support local manufacturers. This partnership, which has been ongoing for two years, lays a strong foundation for enhancing collaboration and opening up new opportunities for member companies of the cluster. Today, we unite 67 manufacturers working in robotics, electronics, radio communication, and unmanned systems. We are also developing the strategic direction of the cluster called IRON Military. Collaboration with the city council involves both supporting the technology sector and developing programs for dual-use goods manufacturers. “This memorandum is not just about partnership; it’s about fostering the miltech sector in Lviv. Together with the Lviv City Council, we have already developed three voucher programs for dual-use product manufacturers and contributed to the creation of a support program for the tech industry in general. There are still many opportunities and initiatives from both the City Council and our manufacturers that will help accelerate technological progress,” comments Volodymyr Chernyuk, CEO of IRON Lviv Tech Cluster. Collaboration with government authorities and lobbying for the interests of our members are key areas of activity for the IRON Lviv Tech Cluster🤝 One of the outcomes of our joint efforts with local authorities is the voucher support programs for MilTech manufacturers. These programs were developed and launched in partnership with the Lviv City Council last year and continue to operate successfully. In 2024, defense companies within the Lviv community have already received over 40 million UAH in support.
