On December 6, fourteen innovative teams presented their projects to the judges, and five startups were awarded grants totalling UAH 5,800,000. Let’s meet the winners. Струм – a career guidance platform for teenagers and parents that offers tools for career orientation, professional analytics, learning opportunities, internships, and employer interaction. Handstree – an international SaaS platform that ensures the security of donor contributions and provides sustainable fundraising tools for charitable organizations. Demarka – a service for automated trademark search and monitoring powered by AI. Sympto.me – a mobile app offering round-the-clock psychological support and assistance to doctors in preventing burnout. CrimeDataLab – a platform with an AI assistant for public oversight and analysis of crime counteraction efficiency. The AI-Refine team, which developed an AI tool for processing large volumes of data, received mentorship support to continue advancing their project. The Open Data Accelerator has proven that Ukrainian startups are not just about innovation but also tools for real societal change. Open Data Accelerator is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and is made possible by the Digital Transformation Activity with support from USAID and UK Dev. East Europe Foundation (EEF) and SocialBoost are implementing partners for this project.

October at Socialboost was full of energy and incredibly productive! Here are some key highlights we’re excited to share: 🌍 At the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund Summit 2024, over 30 Ukrainian startups gained new knowledge, valuable connections, and tools to scale their projects to new heights. This fund is essential for growing Ukrainian ventures, and 1991 Accelerator is proud to manage it. Reminder: Applications for the next cohort are open until November 17. Don’t miss out! 🚀 In the Open Data Accelerator, we’ve reached the halfway mark! Participants had an intensive offline week with lectures, a tour of the Prozorro | Система публічних закупівель Прозорро office, workshops, and mentoring sessions, topped off with a pitch crash test before experts.  The teams' progress is inspiring, and we fully support each of them! Onward and upward!

What has happened at SocialBoost in September? 🌟 During IT Arena, the next cohort of 24 startups was announced. Each will receive non-equity grants of $100,000 from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund, Google Cloud credits and mentorship from Google and the 1991 Accelerator. 🌟 Four participants were selected for the Open Data Ambassadors program, and they will soon begin training and developing plans to implement their open data promotion projects. 🌟 14 startups from the Open Data Accelerator completed a two-day boot camp and started their acceleration program to gain the knowledge needed to develop their projects further.

August was incredibly productive for SocialBoost! 🚀 🔹 The 1991 Accelerator team has completed the selection for the Open Data Accelerator, choosing 14 startups. The startups have already undergone a two-day boot camp and are ready for a three-month acceleration program. We believe they will bring new ideas and solutions to the open data and technology sectors. 🔹 The Open Data Ambassadors program has also been launched. This is a great opportunity for leaders in IT&Data, business, science, and social activities to influence the development of transparency and innovation. Four participants will receive the exclusive status of Open Data Ambassador and a grant of over 100,000 UAH to implement their projects. Applications are open until September 19. What were the main activities of the SocialBoost team in July? 🔥 Registration has started for the annual Open Data Accelerator by the 1991 Accelerator The Open Data Accelerator is a three-month program for 10-15 Ukrainian tech projects utilizing open data. The total fund for the accelerator program exceeds 5.8 million UAH 😱 Startups in the following verticals are welcomed: Smart Cities, Healthcare, Energy, Fintech, Logistics and Transportation, Real Estate, Analytical Platforms, Cybersecurity, Agriculture, Environmental Projects, Social Services, and Educational Initiatives. June was full of events for SocialBoost. Let us share our key achievements: 📍 The 1991 Accelerator completed the Open Data Hackathon, which aimed to stimulate the use of open data to develop innovative services and products that improve citizens' lives and government efficiency. During the final, 10 participating teams refined their projects, with 3 teams emerging as winners and securing a guaranteed spot in the Open Data Accelerator with a grant fund of over 5,800,000 UAH 🔥 📍 The UK-Ukraine Tech Bridge Investment Accelerator, implemented by 1991 Ventures, has concluded. After the educational program, our cohort went through an intensive boot camp in London and pitched their projects on Demo Day as part of London Tech Week. We are confident that we will soon hear positive news from our alumni 🤞 📍 The 1991 Accelerator became the operator of the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund worth $10M! 100 Ukrainian startups will receive grants, Google Cloud credits, as well as mentorship support from Google and the 1991 Accelerator. The goal is to build a portfolio of startups that can proudly represent Ukraine on the global stage and attract international investments 💪 The SocialBoost team is confidently moving forward so Ukrainian impact tech projects can reach new heights!

1991 Accelerator has become the operator of the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund II of $10M!  100 Ukrainian startups will receive support from Google to develop their ideas and businesses, strengthen the community, and lay the foundation for economic recovery after the war. In addition to financial assistance, participants will have access to mentorship, educational programs, and up to $350,000 in Cloud credits. It is a fantastic opportunity for those who dream of changing the world through innovation. 🤖

SocialBoost May Racap 🤝 We are starting to share monthly highlights from our projects with you As always, we are preparing new projects that we are keeping under wraps for now 🤫 But we are excited to share the highlights of May for the Open Data Hackathon and the UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator projects. 🔥 Launch of the first annual Open Data Hackathon by 1991 Accelerator We gathered over 230 participants who are ready to create socially beneficial open data-based technological solutions. They have already completed an educational program on open data, project creation, and pitching, and now 10 finalist teams are actively preparing for the hackathon final on June 22. During the final, the teams will present their developments and compete for the chance to join the Open Data Accelerator with a grant fund of over 5,800,000 UAH. 👉 Completion of the UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator program by 1991 Ventures 20 startups participating in the UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator program have completed a five-week program to deepen their knowledge of the British market: scaling, investments, the ecosystem, and much more. Now the teams are preparing for two important events: Boot Camp and Demo Day, which will take place in London. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their projects to investors and potential partners, opening new opportunities for their startups. SocialBoost has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting and stimulating innovation and the development of technological startups.
