#capitalmarket: 💥A capital market is a financial market where securities are bought and sold and is different from a money market, which deals with short-term debt. Capital markets are crucial to the economy because they: 👉Provide capital for businesses Capital markets allow businesses to raise long-term funds through debt and equity. 👉Help households manage savings Capital markets provide opportunities for people to save and invest for the future. 👉Support financial stability Capital markets provide market-based financing to complement bank credit. 👉Enable digital and green transitions Capital markets provide long-term financing, especially equity capital, to support these transitions. Capital markets include the stock and bond markets. Instruments traded in the capital market are documents or certificates that show evidence of investments. 🧩The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority was established in June 2021 as an autonomous federal government agency. Its creation was part of Ethiopia's broader economic reforms to liberalize the financial sector and encourage private investment. 🥁Recently, Ethiopia's capital market launched in January 2025 with the launch of the Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX). The ESX is Ethiopia's first stock exchange in 50 years and is a significant step towards developing a capital market ecosystem in the country. 💎The ESX is a public company that will be a for-profit entity, with the government owning no more than 25% of the exchange. It will trade equities, derivatives, financial and debt securities, and FX (currency exchange) contracts. The ESX is expected to list at least 50 companies, including banks and insurance companies. 🎯Launching the securities exchange is expected to create a more accessible investment environment, enabling businesses to raise capital effectively and allowing investors to diversify their portfolios with a broader range of investment options. This development aligns with Ethiopia's wider vision of fostering a vibrant and resilient financial sector that drives sustainable economic growth.

Automation & Product launch Strategist I Support Digital Entrepreneurs to Smoothly Execute Successfully Launch Campaigns Online with System Automation, Email Marketing & Launch Mapping.

It was on the evening of 30th August 2024 that I made the greatest decision of my life. Guess what that was? To join a mentorship class on personal branding under the leadership of Victoria Nyanzi, MCIPR, DipCIPR When I talk about the best investments I’ve made so far, this is what I mean. After showing up and putting myself out there for almost three-quarters of the year, I was only rewarded with stagnation and burnout. With her support and guidance, I’ve managed to realign and gain clarity on where I want to be and how I am getting there. Now, allow me to introduce myself, as today I’m making my debut intentional presence on this platform. I am Caroline Atugonza, the girl who is passionate about business and a lover of new adventurous experiences. Today, I show up as a product launch strategist, and I help digital entrepreneurs launch and scale their products online with less overwhelm. I achieve this with launch mapping strategies, email marketing, sales automation systems, and content creation. After trying to launch the perfect product that I had invested so much in, believing people would be foolish to say no to it, guess what? It was a total flop. Yes, I went back to the drawing board to analyze the cause and how I could plan and execute a successful launch next time. After experiencing the pain of having the best product yet no one would take it, even for FREE, I saw the need to help digital entrepreneurs like you skip the learning curve I had to go through and get it right from the start. I’m happy to connect with you. Tell me more about yourself in the comments section please! Let’s connect and learn from each other!

What’s the secret to building stronger relationships? A mentor once told me that listening could be more powerful than speaking. Let me explain how it works. One of my clients, a social media strategist, was facing challenges with customer feedback. They often felt misunderstood by their audience and struggled to deliver content that resonated. After attending a few workshops on active listening, they started to truly understand their followers’ needs. They shifted from just posting content to engaging in two-way conversations. Here’s what happened: ✅Listen to understand – Actively listening will help you identify what your audience really needs. ✅Respond thoughtfully – Your followers will feel valued when you respond in a meaningful way. ✅Adapt your approach – Use feedback to improve and refine your personal brand. Sometimes, the key to growth isn’t talking more, but listening better. What’s the best piece of feedback you’ve received from your audience? Share below. #PersonalBranding #ActiveListening #CustomerEngagement #AudienceInsights #RelationshipBuilding
