About us

Rural Initiatives for Poverty Alleviation (RIPA) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered under the Laws of Uganda as a company limited by guarantee with the aim of achieving the goal of uplifting the livelihoods of rural communities in Uganda. RIPA is a socio-economic initiative aimed at empowering rural communities with environmentally friendly and economically viable value chain development projects with an overall goal of sustainably alleviating poverty starting with Rubirizi and Kyenjojo districts; and subsequently to other rural communities in Uganda. Formed in 2018, registered and started its operations in 2020, RIPA is now set to create impact in the communities where we operate starting with promotion of Zero Grazing Dairy farming in Rubirizi District.
