Baskets serve as important vessels for various purposes from #daily #household #use to #ceremonial #functions such as #weddings. They also serve as #gifts 🎁🎁 and their decorative elements 🎉 #enrich #cultural #festivities thus #strengthening social bonds within communities. In some cultures, the art of basket weaving is passed down through generations , #promoting #continuity and preserving #traditional #skills and #knowledge. Last week, together with my teachers at #Youth #Initiative #Primary #School in #Kyaka II #Refugee #Settlement, We embarked on the project of training our students the art of #basket #weaving. We were so pleased to see 😀 our learners producing beautiful baskets 🤩 which shows their passion for #project #based #learning and curiosity to learn.
