We believe in empowering #women and young women. As we continue to create awareness on #violence against women, we call upon leaders to put in place programmes that economically empower #women. It's important to note that empowering women and girls is one of the weapons to fight #violence #16daysofactivism.

This is why #16daysofactivism is so important, imagine being a woman and you're always in fear. We call upon men to take a stand and say no to #violence towards women. As an organisation that mainly works with women and girls, we call upon society to take it upon itself to say no to #violenceagainstwomen.

Yesterday was the beginning of the #16daysofactivism to us. Every day is activism; we're committed to addressing the needs of women and girls as we continue to celebrate the International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls. We stand to firm our conviction.

Last weekend, we caught up with the youth and the women of Tukundane. We discussed various topics like women's and girls' empowerment and sexual reproductive health rights. It's important to involve the youth in these meetings. If we're going to make steady progress we encourage everyone to come together to support the youth and women. Their voices and contributions are curious if we are going to achieve our goals come 2030

At Tukundane, we pride ourselves in empowering women and girls; it's through different economic skills like tailoring, backyard gardening, and bookmaking. Everyone who knows us knows empowering women to be economically independent on their own, is key in our journey. We love seeing Tukundane women continue to make great progress in every skill we introduce.
