Forests play a crucial role in both our lives and our planet's biodiversity. Here are some statistics that highlight forest coverage in East Africa. Forest cover in Kenya is 6.3%, ranking as the 5th lowest in Sub-Saharan Africa. In contrast, Tanzania stands at 50.6%, while Uganda is at 11.2%. Good morning, citizens—wherever and whenever you hear this. We must conserve our forests.

Hello everyone! We are excited to introduce a sustainability course called "Global Solutions for Sustainable Living," developed by Design for Environment 40 (Tricia Jewett Tricia Jewett ). This course is suitable for teachers, students, and professionals working in the field, as well as anyone interested in gaining more knowledge. The course comprises the following modules: 1. Ecosystems 2. Architecture and the Built Environment 3. Air 4. Water 5. Renewable Energy 6. Agroecology The course costs $450.00, or $150.00 per module. Upon completing the course, you will be entitled to receive a certificate. Additionally, you can choose to complete only one module, such as ecosystems, and receive a digital certificate upon completion, which you can print yourself. Preparing for Friday 28th February 2025 To be able to achieve a successful planting day we have to plan meticulously, order the tree whips, the canes and the spirals. That's just a few clicks on the keyboard, but important ones. But today to get our field in fine fettle for 5 days time we needed to cut the grass to make it easier to plant, measure the field for the tree locations and populate the locations with canes as markers. The preparation of the field wasn't helped by the recent weather or some of our second hand equipment. We overcame the challenge, we always do, with a smile, a chuckle, a few choice words, but always a commitment to move forward. Armed with two ancient mowers, three ancient people, Simon Evans MBA, Darrell Taylor and Keith Cox we set about preparing things. Having grabbed a few hours to place all the canes in position to help with planting for the teams that are to join us on Friday. We are so lucky to have such wonderful customers that totally understand the importance of getting involved in their sustainability journeys, making it happen through investing their time, people and money in the activity. There’ll be 500 trees to plant; that’ll take us to 7,000 trees and we have many to sell if you’re interested.
