In partnership with WHO Africa Region, WHO Uganda supported Ministry of Health in undertaking #Marburg simulation exercises for the 10 districts in #Kigezi & #Ankole regions. The exercise evaluates & strengthens preparedness & response systems.

Over 3,000 people are currently residing in Bunambutye resettlement village, in eastern Uganda following recent landslides in the Elgon region. Thanks to USAID, World Health Organization Uganda is supporting the Government of Uganda to respond by providing technical support, drugs, and supplies for the displaced people.

Today, the World Health Organization joined partners in implementing the Fleming Fund Country Grant II project at a roundtable discussion to address gaps in antimicrobial resistance and use monitoring surveillance in Uganda. #UKaid Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation Uganda, FAO, Ministry of Health- Uganda, Makerere College of Veterinary Medicine Animal Resources and Biosecurity HEPS-Uganda.
