We’re thrilled to share that our 2024 Tesco Glitz Ball raised a record-breaking £1,517,353 for GroceryAid – the largest amount ever raised at a single event for the charity! 1,800 Tesco colleagues and suppliers came together on Wednesday for an evening of celebration, featuring live music and a three-course meal curated by our Tesco chefs, showcasing the latest food trends. The money will enable GroceryAid to continue supporting Grocery colleagues through difficult times. A huge thank you to all the event sponsors and our guests who made this possible!

Transgender Day of Remembrance is marked annually on the 20th of November and honours Transgender+ lives lost over the past year. The day serves not only as a moment of reflection but also as a call to action for greater awareness, understanding, acceptance and advocacy. Our LGBTQ+ Colleague Network observed the day by holding a candlelit vigil of remembrance for those who have lost their lives to violence. Across the week the network also hosted an online discussion panel and provided colleague information zones to raise awareness and increase allyship. At Tesco, everyone is welcome, together we celebrated the resilience and strength of the Transgender+ community and are helping in working towards a future where everyone can live authentically and safely.

We don’t always know who needs a little extra help at Christmas.
