Many of our customers know our annual Swap Shop initiative as a drive for donations of toiletries and hygiene items. We ask them for soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc, and they get a delicious free cup of coffee in return. So what do we do when one of our local homeless charities tells us that what they really need right now is men's boxer shorts? We rally our HQ and Roastery team and internally introduce Pizza for Pants! Team members at our Roastery on Monday generously donated over 30 packs of pants, and were rewarded with a delicious pizza made by our Roast House Manager Blazej's own fair hands. And now the pants are already being handed out to service users by Emmanuel House Support Centre.

🧼= ☕We all know that "Blue Monday" is not a real thing, and simply a marketing tool designed to sell more stuff. So we're using our powers of persuasion for good on Monday 20th January: DON'T buy a coffee, DO buy some toothpaste (or shower gel, or shampoo) instead. Then head to any 200 Degrees shop to take part in #SwapShop, our annual charity day, and swap your toiletries and hygiene items for a free drink in aid of the four charities we are supporting this year: Switch Up, Basis Yorkshire, Black Country Women's Aid and The Whitechapel Centre. Our Roast House and Central Team will also be collecting items in aid of Emmanuel House Support Centre, and if you're in the neighbourhood, you can also drop in any donations there for a free drink. #200degs #swapshop #coffee #charity

☕ ⚽ A few weeks ago, we played host to Nottingham Forest at our Roast House, which is just a hop, skip and a jump across the river from the City Ground. Ryan Yates, Harry Toffolo, James Ward-Prowse and Zach Abbott stopped by to drink some great coffee and have an important chat about mental health. A very important conversation, and some truly impressive coffee-making skills on display by Yatesy - we'd offer him a job but we think he's probably a bit busy... https://lnkd.in/ebir6Vda

Shop No.22 is officially open! Some very hardy souls braved the terrible weather on Saturday to help us launch our new shop at Junction 32 - Yorkshire Outlet Shopping in style. It was a massive team effort to get the build completed in just over 4 weeks from the contract being signed. But with this much experience under our belt now, it's just like riding a bike! 😉 Biggest congratulations go to Aaron Mistry, the shop's new GM, and his team for smashing the first few days. If you're at Junction 32 to get your Christmas shopping done, make sure you stop by! 📷: Joe Outterside

We recently launched our redesigned website, and almost immediately put it through its paces over Black Friday weekend. Led by our Digital Marketing Manager Brogan Latham and supported by the team at Propeller (with input from people across all departments at 200), the thoughtfully considered UX and refreshed designs have really helped to shine a light on the four pillars of our business, refocused attention on our people, and delivered a more seamless retail experience. The result - a record-breaking weekend of online sales, plus we got the perfect unprompted feedback from a customer: "From a customer/consumer view (having been a customer of 200 Degrees for many years) your new website is just incredible! You feel while browsing your site that you're actually in one of your coffee shops". Check it out at 200degs.com.

🎂 They grow up so fast! 🎂 Our very first coffee shop on Flying Horse Walk in Nottingham is 10 years old today. We celebrated the milestone over the weekend with a party that involved lots of our favourite people under one roof and a very high octane latte art throwdown ☕. Congrats to Mads from Brewed.online who was crowned the winner, and thanks to our friends Allan Beaton from Minor Figures, Ari Huecherig from Victoria Arduino and Josh Eaton from Notts Coffee Festival who took their judging roles (complete with large foam fingers) very seriously. A special shout out to the shop team led by manager Barbara Dyszkowska - Jaskulska and cluster manager Jen Armstrong (seen blowing out the candles on our cake), and to all the customers whose support allowed 200 Degrees to grow from this incredible starting point to 21 shops over the last 10 years. We can't wait for what's next.
