Stephen Hackett and Samuel McNeil have been instructed by Tina Moore, ex-wife of footballer Bobby Moore, in the investigation into the whereabouts of the footballer’s missing 1966 World Cup shirt, thought to be worth £1 million. Bobby Moore was an English professional footballer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He wore the 1966 World Cup-winning shirt as he lifted the Jules Rimet Trophy at Wembley following England’s 4-2 victory over West Germany. Bobby died in 1993 following a battle with bowel cancer. Tina Moore who was married to Bobby from 1962 to 1986, says the shirt vanished from her attic in the 1990s. It is suggested that private collector Neville Evans, Britain's biggest collector of football memorabilia, is in possession of the memorabilia but has refused to confirm or deny if he has the shirt in his private collection. Stephen Hackett and Samuel McNeil are instructed by CANDEY. The case is gaining significant traction in the press, The Sun, Daily Mail and Metro, read these link here. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gJushDdF Stephen Hackett has considerable experience involving disputes over valuable items. He has authored a book ‘The Ownership of Goods and Chattels’ where he sets out the law on acquiring, surrendering and transferring ownership rights in goods, both contentious and non-contentious.
