Immersive Twin 🤝 Niagara 4. I recently finished porting an immersive JS framework to run natively inside Niagara, adding, quite literally, a new dimension to BMS views. Instead of complex integration layers between BMS and plethora ‘Digital Twin’ platforms, I’ve decided to enable an interactive model of fixtures and systems directly inside the BMS, meaning access to data and control is simpler and more secure. I’m developing this because our IoT systems are handling 10x the data they did in the past and 2D views simply don’t have the real estate for the data density needed to paint a picture of what’s happening in today’s smart building. Tridium ‘s Niagara has actually proven more than capable of running a serious Revit model within a supervisor, which means this can be deployed on existing infrastructure. Now that I’m at 3MSe Ltd, I’ll develop this tech even further to build truly innovative Energy & Automation Systems.
