  • We’ve finally cracked refillable milk bottles. And we want to tell you how. After 3 years. 7 teams of experts. And 3 failed experiments. We’ve done it. Thanks to plastic. Surprised? So were we. We’ve been saying no to pointless plastic since 1988. But by switching to our Club Zero Milk Refillable plastic bottles, our new innovation could save the UK 300,000 tonnes of carbon a year.* But only if all of our industry makes the switch. We’ve got years of learnings to share. And experts excited to tell you about it. All you have to do is get in touch. We’re ready when you are. • Our Recipe Kits are back by popular demand. From seasonal salads, to comforting soups, smoothies and one pot recipes, we’re helping give shoppers an easy way to discover food done right. We listened to our customers and decided the new year was the perfect time to help cut the fuss and food waste from planning a weekly menu. They’re the perfect combination of quality and convenience. Full of fresh, organic fruit & veg – grown with zero artificial pesticides. Pre-measured to avoid food waste. And handy step-by-step recipe instructions from our recipe writers. “Coming up with recipes for the new meal kit range has been so exciting. We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what people want from their meals, whether it’s adding more fruit and veg to their diet or being able to easily cook something delicious from scratch, and coming up with dishes to match. I shouldn't have favourites, but I do really love our new Pasta Recipe Kit, which is all about simple, traditional cooking and it features these amazing dried pastas from Italy.” Jassy Davis, Recipe Writer Explore the whole range and see what’s on the menu this week: https://lnkd.in/eP_b8rEh #AbelandCole #Innovation #Cooking #Food

  • As we begin a new year of food done right, we wanted to take a moment to look back and celebrate what we achieved in 2024. Thanks to the support of our shoppers. By the end of the year, we’d donated 1,391,377 portions of fresh fruit & veg to fight food poverty through One Box: One Portion. That’s a portion for every Fruit & Veg Box delivered to our shoppers' doors. We then delivered this fresh food to three of our amazing charity partners, The Felix Project, School Food Matters and Dons Local Action Group. We sent even more single-use plastic packing, by growing our Club Zero collection to include over 100+ refills. From our award-winning bottles of organic milk to pouches of plant-based fabric conditioner. Choosing food done right also means respecting the people that help produce it. In 2024, we supported 361 growers and makers by continuing to pay them fairly for their hard work. Through droughts and floods, we stood by our farmers. “I’m so proud of everything we achieved in 2024. By choosing food done right, our customers helped us put people and the planet first with every shop. In 2025, we want to go even further.” Hannah Shipton, Managing Director #AbelandCole #Sustainability #Community #Charity

  • 🤝 The year is winding down and we’re looking forward to eating delicious, planet-friendly food with our friends and family. Before we do, we want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone in the Abel & Cole team. 🚜 This year, we’ve worked closer with our fantastic makers, bakers, farmers and crafters than ever before. So much of that close collaboration is a result of our teams hunting down new artisanal finds, picking seasonal crops for our boxes and working on new ways to support our suppliers. 📦 You can see how hard our amazing packing teams work, every time someone unboxes their shop. Filled with hand-packed food and drink. They prepare every box with care, making each personalised Fruit & Veg Box Swap, to give our shoppers just what they need. 🚚 Our dedicated drivers deserve a massive ‘thank you’ too. They hit the road from as early as 4am, delivering and collecting more than just our boxes. Their vans have been loaded up with our Club Zero refills, Plastic Pick-Up bags and even charity book collections. 📧 And finally, a big ‘thank you’ to our award-winning Customer Care team – an essential part of the Abel & Cole experience. They’re on-hand to ensure every delivery goes as smoothly as possible, answering customer questions and helping them enjoy a memorable Christmas. We’re so proud of all the work that’s gone into 2024 and we’re excited to go further next year. But until then, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. #AbelandCole #Christmas #People #Holiday

  • Christmas is our busiest time of year and that means it’s all hands on deck. In the run up to the big day, staff from our Wimbledon office help with Christmas turkey packing at our main depot. We also have team members from across the business answering calls and emails alongside our Customer Care department. It’s a huge collaboration but we pull out the all stops for those important Christmas deliveries. We want to thank everyone who has jumped in to lend a hand across the business. #Christmas #Team #AbelandCole #Holiday

  • As a B Corp business, it’s important to play our part in fighting food poverty in the community. The Food Foundation reported that “an estimated 7.2 million adults and 2.7 million children experienced food insecurity in June 2024”. That’s why we’re proud to have donated 1,391,377 portions of fresh fruit or veg to food charities this year. Since we launched our One Box: One Portion scheme, we’ve made a donation for every Fruit & Veg Box we’ve delivered to our sustainable shoppers, hitting an overall total of 2,773,539. Our charity partners, Dons Local Action Group, School Food Matters and The Felix Project put this much-need food to good use. They work incredibly hard to make sure it reaches people in need within our community. To learn more about One Box: One Portion and lend your support, head here: https://bit.ly/3EyOUMr

  • A decline in biodiversity poses a global threat. That’s why we're proud to see an increase in demand for organic, here in the UK. The Soil Association are confident that organic farmland will continue to increase to meet this demand as well. In fact, the Scottish government has committed to doubling its area of organic land by 2026, backing this up with financial incentives. Last year, there was a 7% increase in fully organic land in Scotland, creating lots of new havens for wildlife to thrive in. On average, organic farms create an environment that’s 30% more biodiverse, providing homes for bees, birds and butterflies. Biodiversity also benefits farmers, improving soil health so that they can deliver produce all year round. Plus, natural pest control means less reliance on pesticides. You can learn more about the vital link between biodiversity and our farmland in our Future of Fruit & Veg Report: https://lnkd.in/dXBhBZ8b #Biodiversity #Sustainability #Organic #Farming
