🌲Nature is the foundation of our global economy, yet it’s facing unprecedented decline. A partial collapse of ecosystem services could reduce global GDP by $2.7 trillion by 2030. But by transitioning to a nature-positive economy, we unlock a remarkable $10.1 trillion opportunity. 📄We are proud to have supported a new report, led by the Centre for Sustainable Finance (CISL) through the A-Track project. This work underscores the crucial role that private finance must play in halting and reversing biodiversity loss. 🌿With a $700 billion annual gap in biodiversity financing, aligning capital with nature-positive initiatives is essential, yet private sector investment remains limited. Misconceptions that nature finance solely involves low-return conservation efforts are holding us back. 🤝Private finance has the power to drive economic growth while promoting a resilient, thriving planet and the future of our economy and environment depends on expanding finance for nature. 💡What’s next? Exploring solutions to overcome barriers and mobilise capital for a sustainable, nature-positive future. 👉 Access the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eF3RUqUw The report was written by Sara Taaffe (CISL), Corinne Martin (CISL), Robert Barker (CISL), with significant contributions from A-Track consortium partners Capitals Coalition, UNEP-WCMC, IDEEA Group and TECNALIA Research & Innovation (Scaling Nature Finance). Should you wish to find out more about our work with CISL, please contact Caroline Barr. #SustainableFinance #Biodiversity #NaturePositive #PrivateFinance #GlobalBiodiversityFramework

Last week saw the kick start session for a year long program, connecting women throughout our UK organisation. The CB International Women’s community, together with the UK D&I Gender committee came together to offer the first series of Corporate Banking Women’s Empowerment Lunches in the UK. We hope this will be the first year of many to come! We were particularly proud to attract a great mixture of participants across different business lines and functions, all of whom participated with passion and professionalism. In this truly collaborative initiative, we were supported by our joint sponsors Marina Shevtsova (AAB UK CFO), Mirjam Bakker (ABF Head of Business Control), along with founding sponsor Karina Van den Berg (Global Head of CB Non-Core).
