Having participated in what feels like 100's of RFI / P processes over the last 2 decades, I've been asking myself for a number of years now, is there a better way to procure compex #services and #solutions There has to be, and recently the concept of RFS or Request for Solution has started finding its way into the procurement process and I for one, think this is a positive step forward. 🚫 Instead of asking suppliers to bid on requirements that you've defined yourselves ✅️ Provide details of the business problem needing to be solved and the outcome you are looking for. The benefits are clear and nicely defined below : credit Tanya W. I'm struggling to see many downsides to this approach with maybe the exception that after RFS, the solution LLD / definition stage may take a little longer and include more workshops, but I'd argue that's likely to lead to an all round better outcome anyway. Long live the RFS.
