We’re currently in the throes of several Umbraco migrations, helping our clients transition to Umbraco 13. The upgrade brings numerous advantages: - Latest .NET LTS (Long Term Support) Version: Utilising updated frameworks for enhanced security and performance. - Improved Performance: Faster, more efficient websites that offer a better user experience. - New Editing Experiences: A more intuitive and powerful CMS for content editors. But the upgrade doesn’t have to be just about the CMS. For many clients, it’s also an ideal time to reassess and optimise their infrastructure: - Front-End Hosting on Vercel: Migrating front-end applications to Vercel for improved speed and scalability. - Back-End Hosting Optimisation: Moving back-end services to Linux environments to reduce costs and enhance performance. - Upgrading Front-End Stacks: Updating technologies like Next.js to the latest versions for better development workflows and user experiences. With a new Service Design project kicking off this week, we began the week in an immersion workshop at the clients HQ, and spent the afternoon with their customer facing teams. This was week 0 of a 6 week project which is now in full flow. Next week sees us heading back in to further immerse ourselves in the customer interactions, business processes and data requirements.
